why the fuck do you want a 1080p 15.6" laptop screen
The stew will be done in about 3 hours, so I think I'll chill and relax since it took about 2 hours to prepare including going to the store.
oh man who remembers that old 3d maze screensaver from the windows 98 days
oh man who remembers that old 3d maze screensaver from the windows 98 days
Fuck yeah, that thing was awesome. Wonder if there's a W7-compatible version...
Fuck yeah, that thing was awesome. Wonder if there's a W7-compatible version...
I googled it and tried the first link I got, it seems to run fine besides the textures getting mixed up sometimes. Amazing.
There's software that let's you bind buttons to keys and joystick movements to mouse movements of any direct input controller, unfortunately I can't name any off the top of my head. [editline]9th June 2012[/editline] Yes, xpadder is what I meant
Yeah, I have XPadder, but I'm planning to launch games and stuff from XBMC so it's not really an option. XBMC can actually recognize gamepad input, I know that. Turned on debug logging and it's detecting all the button presses, so it's just a case of mapping those to controls. There are some premade configuration files but none of them are doing anything.
why the fuck do you want a 1080p 15.6" laptop screen
1336x768 looks awful on a 15" laptop.
1336x768 looks awful on a 15" laptop.
I've never had much of an issue with it. I dunno, really high resolutions on smaller computer screens tend to get on my nerves, I don't like fucking with DPI settings

I dunno, really high resolutions on smaller computer screens tend to get on my nerves, I don't like fucking with DPI settings
My father has an Hp Elitebook with a 1080p 16.5 inch screen. It is amazing for movies and multitasking and it is pretty hard to discern individual pixels. Also like he said, I hate 1366x768 looks like shit.
1336x768 looks awful on a 15" laptop.
No it doesn't.
I wouldn't necessarily say *awful* - my 1280x800 15" laptop was fine - but more pixels can never hurt.
It's probably awful in my eyes since I use 1336x768 on my 12" laptop, then my brother got a 15.6" laptop with the same resolution and it looked very blurry.
How much do you think this desktop would sell for? -Antec 900 -Q6600 -8800gt with aftermarket cooler -8 gigs of Ddr2 @ 800mhz -2x 320gb 7.2k rpm Western Digital Drives -650watt Rose will Psu [editline]9th June 2012[/editline] I'm thinking I can maybe pull around $200
are there any pdf readers that are lighterweight than sumatrapdf? i'm gonna be dming some dnd games and using a crappy laptop as kind of a dm screen, but the laptop is older than i am so i need a lightweight pdf reader
Even better idea: "Cooking with Netburst: 101 Easy Recipes YOU Can Cook on a Pentium IV!"
Unlocking the true potential of the P4. Like, for example, using it as a space heater. Which I have done before. It worked well, really well.
I googled it and tried the first link I got, it seems to run fine besides the textures getting mixed up sometimes. Amazing.
The best part is, you can still replace the textures
Fuck yeah, that thing was awesome. Wonder if there's a W7-compatible version...
the original executable is W7 compatible. I've got a copy that I ripped off my 95 CD ages ago, I'll upload it. http://filesmelt.com/dl/3D_Maze.scr
The best part is, you can still replace the textures
You can walk around an HL2 themed maze forever.
pentium 3
Sumatra PDF is very light. If you're still having problems, I think the PDF is too complex for the computer to handle. I would see if you could export the PDF to a series of PNGs or JPEGs which would be easier to view.
i haven't actually installed it yet, i just want you guys' opinion on this also: http://www.nouptime.com/
Fucking. I was writing up a massive "What the fuck" rant. Then about 8 minutes into it I realize it's satire. Fuck.
I have just figured out what the ultimate challenge would be for a sysadmin: Get a fresh install of W7 on a box, install SCP, SSH, FTP services on it, make WoL work, put it behind a router, make all these features work both externally and internally, and then download a Google project (such as Chromium) on it using SSH and compile it. Also, you cannot touch or interact directly with the box after installing the services, you must use SSH / Telnet.
How would you do that? Right click .scr Install Go to screensavers menu Click options
So amazon kept having trouble accepting my card for the second part of my order (was about 2 cents short, fixed that), but the microphone got shipped and is at my local post office. I got this email today, and this makes no fucking sense at all. Aparently they canceled my entire order, even though they charged the price of the microphone to my card. But at the same time amazon says that everything has been shipped [editline]10th June 2012[/editline] Got it fixed, should see the rest of my stuff in 5-10 days.
