[t]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/5831868/Project%20shITX/HPIM0398.JPG[/t]
The back all marked out, ready for cutting. I am aware that the IO shield clashes with the PSU, so i'm going to cut a corner off the IO shield.

The front holes all drilled out. I know the front is dirty, it will get cleaned.

that poor motherboard is dead
It was broken before getting butchered.
It was a piece of shit anyway, i've always wanted to smash the thing.
[editline]21st June 2012[/editline]
I forgot to add, the brown board at the top is the shuttles original board, it only supports willimate P4s.
[editline]21st June 2012[/editline]
Should i cut the top off one of the caps on the shuttles old board?
just to see what's inside?

You're feeling sorry for a Foxconn motherboard? They should be put out of their misery at the production line.

Just have an incinerator at the end of the conveyor belt that new boards come off of.

Doesn't intrude in the case too much and the weight is spread over 2 points.

I just realized that i come across foxconn motherboards/PCB/everything at least 10 times a day.
Managed to get the triva questions into the application and determine if they're answered correctly. I hope it isn't too good that it clashes with the rest of my friend's work, heh.
Forefox you say?
What version of Firefox you're using? (I'm using 14 beta and that's fine except for some instances of using flash)
I still use FireFox 3 on my desktop because that's the only browser out currently with a layout and visual appearance that I actually like :v:
[editline]21st June 2012[/editline]
Interestingly, firefox 3 on my desktop uses 300mb of memory, with about 35 tabs open, while FF 13 on my laptop uses 1.7gb of memory with about 20 tabs open.
FF3 is archaiicc thought
I had just run into this while on GImages, fake virii ads are getting more with the time by using a Security Essentials screenshot as the warning image now.

And here is why it is a screenshot:

I did some testing in BF3 with both 8800GT and GTX 460.
I'm playing at 1920x1080 fullscreen without vsync.
8800GT low settings:
Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
3663, 120000, 24, 46, 30.525
GTX 460 low settings:
Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
5372, 120000, 23, 64, 44.767
GTX 460 auto settings (mostly high):
Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
4458, 120000, 23, 52, 37.150
I don't know what to think of this. Over 40 FPS should be good enough but in this game it just feels too low.
It's not totally unplayable but I can't enjoy it much. Not to mention the awful stutter that appears after a while of playing.
The game will freeze for seconds again and again, making me unable to do anything and I usually crash my jet because I'm warping all around the place.
Is this because I have only 4GB RAM? Every time I exit from the game other programs have hard time "recovering" from it, loading for a long time until I can use them again.

Probably 'cause I get that too. Guess we've both gotta get more, eh?

Well here's something for you all:
[ur=http://politics.slashdot.org/story/12/06/21/168207/bev-harris-of-black-box-voting-releases-accentures-voting-software]Someone found and published a voter registration database system that's used throughout the US. It's been widely accused of being complete crap, switching people's parties and tripling recorded votes, particularly in middle-class white Republican areas (note that this isn't the actual voting software, just the registration stuff, but still... yikes). It's a big-ass system, too.
The worst bit?
Guess what database they used.
Go on. Guess.
Oracle? DB2? MS SQL? NonStop?
Nope.
PostgreSQL? MySQL? Some weird obscure fork of one of those?
Again, nope.
They used
Microsoft
