Someone I know says that the Intel HD 3000 I have in my laptop is on par with or even better than the Radeon HD 5450 that's in my desktop I have a hard time believing that Is it true or is said person just spouting bullshit (I don't really want to test this because every time I try to play a slightly demanding game on laptops they end up hating me forever)
From what I can gather around the internet, it's not far from the truth.
Interesting The time I played Terraria on my laptop, it ran better then when I play it on my desktop, but I thought that it only ran better because I wasn't trying to run it at a 1080p resolution like I do on my desktop Guess I was wrong v:v:v Still not playing demanding games on this thing though
Why not? It's all in the CPU.
Why not? It's all in the CPU.
Because my old HP laptop was fine till I played a demanding game on it for the first time, then it went downhill from there Same with my old Eee PC Every time I play a demanding game on a laptop, they hate me forever after that and start degrading really fast I'm trying to be nice to this one as it was a graduation present
Birthday in 6 days, my options for hardware related things are either a new graphics card or a new monitor. Is a 570 better than the 560ti? Can't decide which one to get around the £180 price range. Or should I buy a new monitor? I currently have 2 21 inch 1280x1024 monitors and one of them has horrible colour accuracy and a vertical line of dead pixels. I'm just worried that if I get 1 1080p monitor my workflow will be horrible and my 5770 won't be able to output very well at 1080p wat do

Anyone in here want to buy a Samsung Galaxy Y (GT-S5360)? I have one unopened sitting around in its box taking up space.
sell it on ebay, nobody wants a phone that crappy these days
sell it on ebay, nobody wants a phone that crappy these days
Yeah, was considering that. Just seeing if anyone here wanted it themselves as a backup phone or knows someone who wanted one.
Ran Unixbench on my Pi after a bit of overclocking to test stability. In case anyone wants to see the results, here.
Got my $300 for doing that guy's Java project. I thought he was joking at first, though I guess not.
Anyone in here want to buy a Samsung Galaxy Y (GT-S5360)? I have one unopened sitting around in its box taking up space.
Im interested Can i use t-mobile with it? How much?
Im interested Can i use t-mobile with it? How much?
It's a UK one so it supports 850/900/1800/1900/2100 not sure what it's like for Americans. I'll sell it for £50 (£80-100 RRP). If you want I can also root it and flash CWM too.
Anyone in here want to buy a Samsung Galaxy Y (GT-S5360)? I have one unopened sitting around in its box taking up space.
Shipping from the UK would probably be a lot to America, right?
My current laptop is a 12" netbook, so I want a little more CPU power. I was thinking about getting an Ultrabook, though $1000 is expensive, so I looked at some refurbished laptops on newegg.ca and found the Dell Latitude 4300. http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834200490 After HST and shipping, it would cost $384. 13" screen, about 4 pounds, core 2 duo, 2 GB DDR3 RAM (Cheap to upgrade further), 80 GB HDD (I would swap in my current 320 GB drive) and a 1280x800 screen. Intel graphics are crap, though I won't be doing much gaming on this thing considering I have a perfectly good desktop. The battery life isn't bad for a laptop from 2008, topping out at about 6 hours. There's also the added bonus of being able to use a docking station, which would be nice. The notebookcheck review is very positive: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Dell-Latitude-E4300-Laptop.13236.0.html Otherwise, I'm looking at heavier laptops with cheap-feeling plastic, awful trackpads and shitty battery life.
Guess what guys, I found out why my PC is being so shitty. It turns out that it turned on the fucking smart control thing for the CPU fan in the BIOS when I reset it, meaning that the fan never spins fast enough and the CPU ends up idling at 80 fucking C and whenever something stresses the CPU at all it goes into herpaderp mode and shits the bed because it gets too hot and starts throttling before the fan can spin fast enough. I would fix it but it also so happens that my mobo no longer wants to accept keyboard input before it loads windows. Seriously I think I am going to hit this thing with a hammer if I can't find a keyboard it likes.
Reposting a letter I just posted on G+, so people actually see it: I linked to that in my response to the typical "how was your tech support?" survey they sent me. Sharing here because I'm not sure I'll get a response from Asus unless I actually start making a fuss.
If only Asus US support was anywhere as good as the support in Taiwan. :( RANT: Supermicro is taking a piss load of time in getting the BOM's we need for our server builds. I mean is it that hard to differentiate between this or this, and I want pricing for that and that, because well, I'm comparing.
It'll work on the US tmobile and their 4G network. Just not AT&T's "4G"
Other way around. T-Mobile phones need 1700/2100. AT&T needs 850/1900.

I was looking at customer reviews for the laptop I'm looking at. Came across this:
I purchased this laptop 1.5 years ago. It traveled with me in South America for almost 10 months inc. harsh environment and incidents such as liquid spills and ever worse experience. i had car accident in Patagonia - rollover 3 times, it flied out of passenger window and smashed on the gravel road in sleep mode around 10 meters away. Fortunately it still powered on, no problems at all (i was amazed, no data lost - 8 months' pictures). Under complete cover warranty, dell replaced the keyboard& all case panels. Now it looks just as brand new. i have to say, this model is rock solid!!!
I got my prodigy today :D Will post pics tomorrow
I got my prodigy today :D Will post pics tomorrow
Damn you, doesn't come out here until July!
Well that was fast? You remember that rather angry letter I wrote Asus? They've already responded, and it's starting to look like I might actually get a laptop sometime before the heat death of the universe. Lesson learned: bitch first, ask questions never.
I managed to boot a Minecraft server on my Raspberry Pi, and log on it. I've never seen TNT explode, and then nothing happens for the next minute or so.

Just looking at motherboards for shITX and came across this my fucking GOD
