How is the S3 Binary?
Best phone I've ever laid my hands on. It may look ugly from the official renders, but it actually pretty good irl imo.
Still not sure if I want that or the One X, but I have to January to decide, or wait for a better phone.

That's a long time to wait.
I have a One X myself and it's easily one of the best looking phones, it really comes down to Sense 4.0 vs TouchWiz Nature UX.
My dad said he's pretty much set on the Galaxy S3 when it comes to Bell. I'm so jealous :(
Whhhhyyyyyyyy did I give my brother my upgrade? WHY!? Being nice sucks.
Speaking of the SIII, this doesn't seem right to me...

The SII Skyrocket has 240 minutes more in talk time, and 10 hours more in standby time, it just doesn't seem right...

Yea, but I plan on getting it as a bday present. By January it won't be so expensive I hope, and my dad won't have to spend as much money. For the money I get as a gift, I'm building a new computer.

iPhone 5 and Windows Phone 8 devices should be out as well by then so they're worth a look.

I'm not really set on a device since it's about 6 months away. It doesn't matter to me at the moment.
Oh, also, how do you assign a label to a group of live tiles?

I can't wait for a Metro Steam & Skype client.
I'm not sure Valve would do a Metro styled client though, they have ignored UI guidelines on every single platform they have developed for.
Ctrl+Scroll down, right click, name group. Something along thoselines.
I'm deffo waiting for the iPhone 5.

I've just read that in iOS 6 it finally allows file uploading, wow.
The next phone I get will probably be the SII because I really don't feel like breaking the bank this time and the SII is still a very fine device.

I'd also have a look at the HTC One S.
How much extra is the Skyrocket? I have it and it's very nice.

WHAT?
They are actually introducing the concept of "files" to its users, WOW!

You can get it refurbished on AT&T for $9.99, normally its i think $100.
At least web devs can stop making neutered mobile sites now.

Well, that took all of 5 minutes to get used to.
I still think it will confuse quite a few lusers though.
why don't they put 2 read heads per platter on HDDs?
it would be like raid 0 in a single drive
Even better, why don't they just make one really fucking long read head that doesn't move and spans from the edge of the disk to the spindle.

S3 comes with a larger screen and a quad core CPU (assuming you have the international version)
He's on the AT&T site, he's getting a dual core.

Drum memory works/worked that way - there was one fixed read head per track.
Problem is, a modern hard drive would have what, thousands, millions of tracks? That's a lot.
Especially since you'd still have rotational latency (the disk still has to spin until the correct data is under the read head), so you'll still have up to (60000/<disk rpm>) milliseconds maximum latency.
Is the SII Skyrocket basically an SIII in the SII body?
I think the SII looks way nicer but i would rather have the SIIIs performance etc
I put $90 into my bank account today from an "Instabank" machine, though I checked the website and found that it's on hold until July 3rd. Nine business days, what the fuck BMO.
Guess I'm waiting to buy an SSD...

It's basically AT&T's version of the International model. It has an LTE radio, and the same screen size as the sprint model iirc.

SIII is much better in every way.
Skyrocket doesn't even have ICS yet.
Skyrocket is essentially the SII + LTE + Larger screen.
My dad has never upgraded, and is still stuck with the Motorola Razr V3 :v:
I'm really looking forward to the next Nexus.
I hope it doesn't have all of the manufacture defects the Gnex had, also a GPU which isn't being maxed out all the time...
It would be nice if the rumours of the 5 manufacturer nexus series were true.
Nothing beats giving carriers the finger.

Yeah, I want there to be a Nexus from each manufacturer that shows off their strengths. Razr Maxx battery Nexus, a Nexus with a smaller form factor from Sony, an altogether awesome and high quality nexus from samsung, maybe an HTC Nexus with that beautiful screen and hardware design, and maybe an LG Nexus that's really cheap?
And from Asus a dirt cheap quad core tablet!
