I've used it extensively on a 40" TV, its absolutely perfect as a media OS. They seem to have duplicated ultramon's taskbar settings too, which is nice. Say, can you get the start screen to span two monitors?
Ah, so it's good for use on a TV? I've recently put together a gaming/media setup using a 42 inch TV and a new build, and Windows 7 is kinda pissing me off. Is the interface well-suited to the larger distance, and what about the scaling options for other applications? Do they break everything like Windows 7's do? Also, what about drivers and performance? Will most Windows 7 drivers work, and how is performance in games compared to Windows 7?

I had to bind the zoom program thingie to one of the launch keys on the keyboard. At least WMC works acceptably with a USB infrared reciever and our Logitech Harmony. And if that doesn't do what we want, then we have XMBC.

[editline]24th June 2012[/editline] I know you can launch games from XBMC, but as it's hardware accelerated, it's got a noticeable impact on framerates, so I don't do that.
I find it weird that you can buy a samsung 2TB drive for 10 dollars more than you can buy a samsung 1tb drive.

Spinpoint F3 is 7200rpm, F4 EcoGreen is 5400rpm
not to mention spinpoint f3 is like the best hard drive ever
What are some good 'silent' fans and heatsinks?
not to mention spinpoint f3 is like the best hard drive ever
Eh... The 500GB Seagate drive that it replaced it was quieter. Other than that, it seems decent.
oh killowatt
What are some good 'silent' fans and heatsinks?
Noctua is good, albeit pricey.

Hehe.
Also, what is a good fan controller? I only have 2 fan ports on my motherboard.
My brothers were thinking of giving me a DOTA 2 beta key, i think I'm going to get it
eh i dunno play one MOBA game played them all they're kinda boring imo. kill mindless creeps for awhile, try to get towers but they have insane health, run away when an enemy hero comes, chase away enemy heroes from your towers etc. games also take forever
oh shit I just posted so hard I broke the keyboard tray off my desk
I tend to jam mine and get it stuck inside my desk
i went to ikea today I wanted to take home a galant so bad but alas ain't fuckin' happenin' oh I had their meatballs too pretty delish. bought some microwaveables
yeah, i want a galant corner no room in my room. got too many sideshow collectibles stuffs in the way
I just need something better than this CRT-designed desk I have a 25 inch LED panel now, and a secondary 19. It's getting cramped. And with this fucking keyboard tray having really stripped screw holes it's just a piece of shit I just want a single, smooth surface. With enough space for 2-3 monitors, keyboard, mouse, laptop, tablet and some extra room for whatever. Galant corner is perfect for that
If you want a budget solution, a door or two and a couple of small shelves work.
Filing cabinets/saw-horses work perfect. We had a social studies teacher in my school that built one out of saw horses, a door, and a piece of glass over it all. Worked perfect. On a completely unrelated note, I just came back from the drive-in. Everyone go see Brave. Now.
I got my Pi stable (my stable means runs through Unixbench without dying) at 1GHz, and I haven't really worked on my RAM overclocking yet. This thing is fucking insane.
I got my Pi stable (my stable means runs through Unixbench without dying) at 1GHz, and I haven't really worked on my RAM overclocking yet. This thing is fucking insane.
I need to fucking get one of those. Not that I have a use for it, but still.
It's not really a money thing, it's more just like, I can't really do anything with my current desk if I get a new one
i dont have the money nor do i have the room
I need to fucking get one of those. Not that I have a use for it, but still.
I got it to stable 1.1GHz, this thing is blowing my mind on some many levels right now. That's a fucking 400MHz overclock.
Finished the MW2 campaign today since I found the multiplayer pretty fun they seriously put no effort into it and made every single major event a fucking interactive cutscene, also killed half the good characters and PCs.
