Record it. NOW
Apologies for lateness on the topic of phones, I woke up this morning to a burning sensation on my ear, phone was charging under my pillow, pulled it out, too hot to handle, screen felt molten and the plastic backplate had flexed off of the back of the phone from the heat, by the time I got go power master up to check the temperature it'd been about 10 minutes of waving it out of my window to try to cool it, 74C. It also didn't charge properly, 6 hour charge but it's gone from 50% to 62%. Worrying.

I can overclock my Qualcomm Snapdragon S2 Scorpion MSM8655 phone (Motorola Triumph) from 1.0 GHz to 2.0 GHz and Android loves it, but I haven't and won't actually benchmark it at that speed because I'm sure it'd cause either electrical or thermal damage somewhere in the chip.

My Pi will probably turn in a dwarf star after I get these RAM clocks a bit higher, destroying the entire solar system.

Yes, it MIGHT be able to run a Minecraft server for a couple of people.

MORE RAM!!!!!11
YOU MUST CONSTRUCT ADDITIONAL RAM PYLONS

95% of the time i have posted there I never got a response, ever.
No, that just makes two awful jokes.

Gentle Typoon. Put them on a NH-D14 sink

I should buy one.

Gave mine to my sister, her fucking mother pawned it :/
I just bought one for my desktop.
Ah, so it's good for use on a TV? I've recently put together a gaming/media setup using a 42 inch TV and a new build, and Windows 7 is kinda pissing me off. Is the interface well-suited to the larger distance, and what about the scaling options for other applications? Do they break everything like Windows 7's do?
Also, what about drivers and performance? Will most Windows 7 drivers work, and how is performance in games compared to Windows 7?
Its running on a dual core cellery and the performance is just stupidly good, (the 1TB 7200RPM 32Mb cache HDD might be helping out a bit here!) I've turned on "make everything larger" in the accessibility settings and metro is a pleasure to use from the other end of the room.
IE10 in metro is well.... great (I thought I'd never say that) Unfortunately DPI scaling is still completely borked on the desktop, so if you are gonna switch, wait for VLC or WMP classic for metro.
As soon as it has all of that, I can see my dad removing the "desktop" shortcut from the start screen.

I am really gonna need a 3rd party media player as I hate how the inbuilt "video" and "music" apps put buying shit from microsoft above playing what you actually already have.

Over-volting I presume?
Over-volting I presume?
Yup, I'm at over_voltage=8 and over_voltage_sdram=6 right now.
I could push it to 1.2GHz probably, but I really don't want to increase the voltage anymore (since the max value used in examples is 8, and that's probably for a good reason).
Maybe the next time I get really bored at 4am.
I haven't overvolted mine yet, I'd like to keep the warranty in place for now.
Have you put any cooling on the Pi yet?
It would look silly with a RAM heatsink on there
Pepper;36467014']Have you put any cooling on the Pi yet?

At stock speeds it really doesn't need it.
After a while running it gets slightly warm to the touch, but nothing really noticeable.
Some Zalman VRAM heatsinks would probably work well.
Get a northbridge heatsink and slap it on there.
My Pi will be arriving here this September apparently... It's been months already since I placed my order. Oh God I'm gonna have to wait a lot longer now.

What are some typical hard drive read/write speeds for an external HDD over FireWire 800?
Goddammit. My mom got a SII that she just started using so i thought i'd liberate the old Wildfire for my own use. Turns out my SIM is to old for the wildfire.
Should have know. Since i'v not had a habit of destroying or loosing phones i'v had the same sim card for probably around 8 years
Well, I think that's constrained by the speed of the HDD itself (RPM), not by the FireWire connection. The 800 has the theoretical transfer rate of 800Mbit/s
should i spent 19 bucks on a 16gb thumbdrive but its usb 2.0 or should i add on 5 bucks equaling 24 bucks for a 16gb thumbdrive , but its usb 3.0? the latter option will be the more future proof one eh

Your carrier should replace your SIM for free if you report it as missing.
Your carrier should replace your SIM for free if you report it as missing.
Yeah, I checked their site and they say that they replace SIMs when they get too old. Just got to wait until tomorrow before i can contact them. Hopefully at least
