$199, same price as the 8GB Nexus Tablet.

Goodbye, little donkey. :(
I had almost given up buying new computer parts because I didn't have enough money,
but then I found a nice deal that sold a GTX 670 for 60€ less than it's original price.

(Too bad it has blue LEDs)
I also managed to convince my parents to help with some costs and now I can get a whole new PC.
Now I just need to carefully choose the other parts and wait.
This will be the first PC I'm going to build myself. It can't be hard, right?
What's the worst that could happen?

Why do manufacturers always have the need to put blue LEDs everywhere?

it makes it run cooler, duh
That would actually look nice without the LEDs
My GPU has green LEDs :science:
But not for leet looks or anything, in fact I have no idea what they're for. Maybe some power code stuff.

I've actually never heard of palit before today, it was the only OEM who had a nice cooler and more VRAM with a wider bus for my 560. The Gigabyte coolers looked flimsy as hell.

Oh, the worst thing that can happen is your ordering the wrong socket processor, like I did... twice...
oshit 5k posts

You can remove the LEDs you know.

my friend got a hat and a fuck-you from employers because he went to uni
"What do you want for your birthday? I was thinking about getting you a kindle fire."
"Sounds good to me."
"Alright, I'll go order it."
Man, my company really needs to invest in a big UPS or a generator or something. This is the second time in as many weeks that we've all had to go home early because the power is out and it's rather hard to do anything with unpowered computers.
By the way, it's not an infrastructure thing, shoddy electrical work or anything like that - it's a weather thing. The massive air-raid-style sirens at the local university were going off, there was a possible tornado a few blocks away, and some areas had 3cm-in-diameter hail.
I hate it when you come back to your computer after a day and it didn't actually shut off because it was stuck on the "The following programs need to be closed in order to shut down" dialogue.
I wonder why it randomly ignores open programs on some days, gives you a timer on others, or sometimes just stays on forever.

Steam has saved me several times before because of that.
Sometimes people think it's funny to push my power button, because I've set it to shut down.

Depends on the classes you get.

My HDD kicked it at around 6 years.

Mine always kills the processes after a while of hanging on that screen and calmly turns off
I was somewhat productive today, for once. My new VPS has everything moved over, though I had to recreate the Mumble server so people joining will get a certificate error because it's using the same domain. I ditched GetSimple (The CMS I was using) since I never updated my website. I replaced it with a static HTML site using a template I found, so PHP won't be using as much RAM. It doesn't look too bad, though I really should get around to learning HTML and CSS properly, rather than kludging things together.
I went to the bank and got the hold lifted off my account, so cash deposits won't take an eternity to reach my account, so I should be prepared for the Steam summer sale, which I'll probably hold back on so I could get an SSD and still be able to put gas into the car.
I also ordered my Dell Latitude E4300 and 4 GB of RAM, which should be coming in a few days.

Set the power button to "Do nothing" in the power options
Laugh at their face as they look confused as the PC simply doesn't give a fuck.

Same as always, benjeffery.ca and the default port.

I wonder if you can get your power button to play this.

hmm, well my computer is starting to fail
every time after i render stuff in vegas, rebooting gives me a DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
reboot again and its fine, so i guess its got a bit more left in it

I have it set to shut down in case I need to run into my room quickly to shut it off without having to touch my mouse or hold down the power button.
replace it with a keyed switch
and wow, bsod'd again
Not to sound rude but if u guys had done some research u would have found that blizzard said that they will not support 3rd party programs and will actively enforce it so if ur friends knew about it they shouldve have known theyd be caught.

The game isn't designed for Linux, so you are using a 3rd-party program to run it. Unless my understanding of how you get Windows games to run on Linux is faulty.
But basically, you knowingly played the game on an unsupported OS. You can't complain when that causes problems.
It's 20 pages of this.
[editline]25th June 2012[/editline]
Also if this is true, Blizzard is dead to me.
