If he means single player, he's not lying.
Yep. I get 60-80fps on singleplayer/co-op, and 30-40 on multiplayer.
Yep. I get 60-80fps on singleplayer/co-op, and 30-40 on multiplayer.
Multiplayer is extremely more CPU bound, especially for 40+ players. Hell, graphically the game is incredibly optimized. I can easily push about 90 FPS on SP on my 6870, with high/ultra.
But human eye can only see 24 FPS so what's the point?
... That's not how eyes work.
What the fuck asus I had to reinstall my touchpad drivers to get multitouch scrolling to work again It would "catch" - i.e. recognize two fingers, but when I moved my fingers it would never actually scroll
... That's not how eyes work.
No it really sin't, however even mere 15 FPS can be enough for non motion blurred images, Stop Motion Films show this pretty well.
Holy shit do none of you understand sarcasm
Oh boy! The GTX 670 will arrive today. Too bad the other parts will take a bit longer...
You can send it to me in the mean time. You know, for quality control and stuff.
Is there an application to sync the playback between multiple media players? I want to watch a movie online with my friends and my internet is too slow for streaming
Pssh, I've done it for 12 hours before.
I once did it for 30 hours with my friends, but the smell of energy drink and sweat is horrible and I will never do it again.
GentleGman, behold: THE IBM T221! 21 inches of monitor. 3840x2400. Four DVI links(twin dual-links split into 2 single-link cables each.) 48 hertz. Dual power supplies. 9.2 megapixels. I want one so badly, even if no GPU on the planet can drive games at full res by itself with a decent framerate(690 doesn't count as it has 2 GPU's.) Also the darn thing is thick. You can get one for about a thousand bucks, which I think is pretty good considering you can get a u3011 with a *mere* 2440x1600 resolution for $1200.
2560x1600. U3011 also has loads more inputs and scaling options. That's part of the price.
2560x1600. U3011 also has loads more inputs and scaling options. That's part of the price.
My mistake, I often get resolutions ever so slightly off. But this thing has loads of scaling options too, the only huge downside is the fact that it uses only DVI and can only run at certain refresh rates if you have less links. I'd personally take the massive DPI over the Dell's perks.
I once did it for 30 hours with my friends, but the smell of energy drink and sweat is horrible and I will never do it again.
Dayum.

Just saying Dell's is aiming more for for the media power user since you can hook up Display port, Dvi, VGA, component, HDMI, etc. And and it's a wide gamut panel for graphics n shit. Don't know much about the IBM panel. I'd love to see one of those at resolution at like 40"
So tomorrow if I'm well enough I'll be going to do engineering and computing at a local college for a taster day. You had to pick 2 options, on the first campus there was a list of about 8 options, stuff like creative media, health and social care etc. Then on the second campus you have 3 options, which you have to pick 2 of if you want to do even 1 option there. Engineering, Construction and Computing were the 3 options for the 2nd campus, I'm looking forward to seeing how many of us in engineering are scrawny people who just wanted to do computing. Also we're supposedly doing game design, web design and "coding" in the Computing period, I'll try to post from my phone to say if it's gamemaker, which I highly suspect it is. I put coding in quotes because I'm guessing it's linked to web design and dreamweaver.
After like 2250 hours of uptime, my phone finally crashed :c
About a week ago: My friend calls me up says his pc won't work and he can't figure it out. I go over to his house and muck about with it for like 5 mins (new build). Ask him if he used standoffs. You know the answer to that. His pc is fixed and he paid me with a bottle of rum. Good times.
After an uptime of x (x being since I've had my E63 which is a long time) it still hasn't crashed. [editline]27th June 2012[/editline] Still got that bottle? wanna share?
No drank it up. Also being alone with me drunk gets awkward.
I do believe that I now own the most powerful laptop in the world. [t]http://localhostr.com/files/HJiSXui/IMG_20120627_162103.jpg[/t]

What kind of laptop is that? Never seen one ship with an arch linux sticker (or a linux sticker at all)
What kind of laptop is that? Never seen one ship with an arch linux sticker (or a linux sticker at all)
He ordered it with the Itanium sticker.
Oh, and the RAM arrived too, thanks wingar. [editline]27th June 2012[/editline] It was sent from Germany, makes sense it got here before your order.
Oh, and the RAM arrived too, thanks wingar. [editline]27th June 2012[/editline] It was sent from Germany, makes sense it got here before your order.
That RAM was even faster than I thought. You have good luck with the postal service, me thinks.
He ordered it with the Itanium sticker.
Oh, he just ordered the stickers?
Oh, he just ordered the stickers?
I originally linked him to some and he kept looking at them.
I originally linked him to some and he kept looking at them.
I don't pay enough attention to this thread I guess :O
