Just got my first server, it's an IBM Xseries 345.
I was just wondering if i need to worry about fire hazards. I put it in the attic which is why i'm concerned. Heat or dust is not a problem but i don't feel good yet. I don't run it 24/7 yet out of fear.

That Nexus Q has little appeal to me, it looks like just another device that streams youtube/netflix/movie rental to your TV. Seems only useful if you've got an android phone or tablet.
So it looks like my laptop won't be arriving by the end of the month, which was the deadline I'd given in my ultimatum to Asus.
Which means:
1) I'll be reversing the charges and telling them to fuck off
2) I'll be taking my business elsewhere
3) I'll be destroying Taiwan, home to AsusTEK Inc.
So...
What's the laptop with the most similar specs to the G75? I'm mainly looking for a powerful gaming laptop, 1080p monitor, full keyboard (with numpad), and dual hard drive bays. I've heard mixed things about the MSI G series - they look about right, but also seem to be very unreliable.
Sager has a decent reputation for gaming machines

Neat, my new laptop plays TF2, despite having integrated graphics.

The hardware is great for the price and I really like the simple thinpad-esqe design.

Yep
I had to fix a friends sisters Sager laptop. It felt cheap and shitty. It flexed like crazy. It was one of the 17" models.
Also, a bit of throwback technology:
I just put one of these in my truck:

There was NOBODY on any channels actively talking. Had to call break on 19 to get a voice to pop-up.

with those cobra rigs you can swap like 2 transistors depending on the unit and quadruple the output power. it's illegal but it's totally worth it. I've got mine running at 20 watts and the FCC hasn't shit on my party yet.

I'll definitely look into it. Everybody with trucks in my town is getting them now since I got one. Definitely gonna make it easier to find each other since it's illegal to talk and drive. I've got two, 4 and a half foot antennas - one on each mirror - so my range is pretty fucking good.

at full power a legal CB radio only has about a 4-5 mile range, I'm in Biloxi, MS and on a clear day can hear people in Slidell, LA which is about 50 miles, as long as they're running a similar rig.
Guess I'll return the Fire, they say it ships in 2-3 weeks.

Surprisingly where I'm at we can get a range of up to 20 miles on a clear day. Mom used this thing back when she would race kids in her mustang.
Here in Baldwinsville, NY the town is wicked fucking small. Literally the main drag of the town is a mile long, maybe. So the range will be fine for me.
We've also got a base station somewhere in the house we might setup.
I'm talking output, only thing you can do for input is boost the gain and hope squelch handles the noise
edit:
other than a larger antenna I mean
