I see it all the time.
Not with a £ sign. It's common with euros or $, but not £.
Speaking of silent cases, I think for my next computer I'm going to get the Corsair 550d, just because of the fact that when TTL reviewed it he said the foam on the inside felt different from other ones and that "it feels like it should be sticky but it's not." I'M SO FUCKING CURIOUS. [editline]29th June 2012[/editline] I'm just going to be sitting there poking the foam 90% of the time I'm building
Just from that description, not even seeing the video, I know exactly what he is talking about.
So china is making 10,000,000 computer systems with their proprietary processors and operating systems? I sense hard-coded censorship.
I don't know why they'd be using GPU's for censorship, they're only so good at specific workloads, and the Longsoon system already exists just looks like they're expanding it. The computer is for the University of Science and Technology of China, not censorship this time. They already have a pre-existing system for it but less is known about it, probably also MIPS based though.
Seems like AMD is going to be around for some time to be.
fuck did i really just pay 2.49 for a scorched key for a fucking HAT ON A CLASS I DON'T EVEN PLAY fuck i'm gonna be poor now all because of these stupid shit hats
So i just got my XLR cable today so i can actually use my mic, but... Fuck. How do i fix this? I have an audio technica AT2020 and a Art Tube MP Preamp.
I've started teaching myself C# and XNA for 2D game programming with no experience in either whatsoever. Fun! Wish me luck and give me some tutorials or guides if you know of any.
I'm doing the same but with a very small amount of experience in Java. I've been using this and this to help me. Not the greatest but it's something.
Uh, buy a $30 USB mic instead of fucking around with tube amps?
that's not how physics works
no it is a heat difference over 2 different metals causes a small voltage to appear conversely, this can be reversed to create a heat difference over the two metals, thus in effect acting as a heat pipe (pieter effect)
Seems like AMD is going to be around for some time to be.
What do you mean?
no it is a heat difference over 2 different metals causes a small voltage to appear conversely, this can be reversed to create a heat difference over the two metals, thus in effect acting as a heat pipe (pieter effect)
What you posted makes no sense, at all. There is no such thing as a "Pieter Effect", there is the Peltier effect, and Peltier cells based on this effect, but that's not related at all. There is no voltage between 2 metals that is linked to temperature difference.
Good Malwarebytes test: My old netbook after my best friend has had it for a few weeks. She's been pretty good to it, it wasn't a complete mess but it still found 59 objects. Most was Adware and PUPs, and only one Trojan. Mbam wiped 'em all out instantly. [sp]She's on vacation with us and I decided to do some maintenance on it since she brought it.[/sp]
how
how
She made the mistake of letting her brother use it. That, and she knows how to avoid major infections, but the minor stuff.... Neh. I put Adblock and MSE on there, but I guess it didn't catch everything. I'm not quite sure what she does. In short she's not a total computer illiterate, but the more advanced stuff is very beyond her. Edit: And common sense never was in her family.
Set Spybot: S&D to monitor changes in Paranoid Mode. I did that when my laptop had Vista on it because UAC used to be a major pain in the butt. [editline]30th June 2012[/editline] Of course they could just accept every change but IDK

She doesn't live in my state, she lives several away. We just picked her up for a Florida vacation. I'd prefer not having to do long distance tech support.
no it is a heat difference over 2 different metals causes a small voltage to appear conversely, this can be reversed to create a heat difference over the two metals, thus in effect acting as a heat pipe (pieter effect)
A heat pipe is a metal pipe with liquid inside, which heats up , becomes vapor, goes to the other end of the pipe, cools down, condenses back into liquid, and goes back to where the liquid is normally.

It sounded like you're trying to explain the Peltier Effect, but it has nothing to do with heatpipes.

Just bought a GTX 280, GTX 260 (sans heatsink, supposedly broken), 4870 and 4890 on ebay for $60 with shipping. Going to sell the 4890 to my good friend for $25, give the 4870 to my nephew, and put the GTX 280 in my system for Tri-SLI to tie me over until I get my new rig at the end of the summer. Not a bad purchase. Obviously theres a risk that these cards are all bricked, but the seller has good ratings and I've got a little trust.
I don't often like the nvidia=heat jokes but enjoy your new sun
Well I've been running three cards for years with no issues, just not in SLI.
god dammit, sheep's build is so buttfuckingly unbalanced that i'm counting on it being obsolete beyond repair in a year tops. *C2D on a motherboard that broke before he actually got to use it so I'd assume the C2D has gone through a similar amount of usage (his brother basically handed down his old computer) *SSD only, no HDD because his current one is PATA and his brother wasn't anticipating that (somehow, despite the fact that sheep was using a pentium D) *Current gen graphics card (7000 series AMD, don't know exactly what because his bro isn't telling him anything) (juxtaposed next to the C2D this is dumb) (this is the only new part in the entire batch also) *Probably also has a wimpy as hell power supply that's close to breaking so basically he has a 400-600 dollar budget to spend on a computer, spends 150 on getting a graphics card, and then spends the rest getting upgrades for himself. luckily he got busted :v:
I don't often like the nvidia=heat jokes but enjoy your new sun
Those were the 4xx series cards. 470 and 480 specifically.
"you do know it's all about the GPU right?" -sheep's brother that makes me want to pull out his eyelashes one by one
arduino powered dildo [editline]29th June 2012[/editline] how the fuck do you know this
the internet teaches you a lot of things. some of them you don't want to know.
too bad in porn for any anal penetration scene there's normally like a week of preparation where the receiver only eats very light meals like soup and such and then immediately before the event empties his or her digestive system, has an enema, bathes, and then stretches him/herself out with dildos or buttplugs. if you skip those steps, it's gross.
Why did this turn me on [editline]30th June 2012[/editline]
a pipe is something that pipes heat, in this case from cold places (processer) to hot places (heatsink) so if you put it upside down, it will take heat from the ambident air and the heatsink, and push it straight into the processer without allowing any heat from the processor itself to run away
That is one of the most hilarious things I've read all month.
I think my memory card hates me.
If it's an SD card, you're not alone. SD cards hate every member of the human race.
It's common knowledge that memory cards grow little legs and feet and misplace themselves when you're not looking. It's like an asshole version of Toy Story.
I'm not sure whether I should get the i5 2500k or the 3550 Also, my ISP is giving me bad internet service. I should be getting over 1.2mb/s dl but I only get 500 or so? My exchange is close too, my friend who lives in the suburb near mine, is further away from their exchange and get 1.6mb/s or so dl [editline]30th June 2012[/editline] wow what instead of 600 kb/s like usual I'm getting 190 what the fuck, this isnt right [editline]30th June 2012[/editline] upload speed remains the same though.
