hilarious picture in 3...2...
Wha- Oh right, I mean Crossfire, silly me.
Wha- Oh right, I mean Crossfire, silly me.
Nah, I was waiting to see those two Pi's stuck together in some sort of humorous conglomeration
Nah, I was waiting to see those two Pi's stuck together in some sort of humorous conglomeration
I'd put a jumper bus cable over the IO headers
Fix them together from one end and then connect the USB ports to each other with a male-male cable perhaps?
I was thinking something along the lines of putting one on top of the other one, and hoping for the best
I ordered a Crucial M4 128 GB SSD for my laptop. I have a feeling that my desktop is going to feel really shitty now.
For anyone that uses it, the community-modified version of John the Ripper got an update, adding a whole lot of shit. OS X keychain, KeePass 1.x, Office documents, Firefox master passwords, RAR encrypted archives etc. all got added. Oh and OpenCL/CUDA-accelerated WPA-PSK cracking.
RAR archives? I woulda needed that two months ago. ...Guess I could try it now regardless even though it's no longer relevant. [editline]5th July 2012[/editline] OR I could install that goddamn RAM already, it's 1am [editline]5th July 2012[/editline] Oh wait, it did have the P mode even earlier now I remember why I couldn't use it
This one is even better :v:
Is that a goddamned motherboard?
Is that a goddamned motherboard?
Yep, Cant you see the i7 connected to it in the middle and the GPU seated under the yellow pigs in the top tight corner

At least one of the sticks that I ordered worked, though I'm waiting on an RMA from newegg for the other.
Dual-in line memory modules http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DIMM
I know what DIMM is what I don't understand is why anyone would be using DIMM or phrased in a shorter manner >DIMM >2012
What do you guys think of me making a GOOD DEALS thread? It would be done similar to the quick questions thread, where the OP just sets some guidelines and isn't updated (I don't think any member would keep it updated consistently). We could just post great deals on computer parts and things. Like if Frys has a deal on Kingston RAM or there's a 20% off sale on GTX 670s on Newegg. We just post whatever we think is a good deal, as long as we think somebody else would care. I could totally be the OP.
so i can cry over how none of them are available in australia or have $40 shipping
I know what DIMM is what I don't understand is why anyone would be using DIMM or phrased in a shorter manner >DIMM >2012
DIMM doesn't refer to any specific memory type - it's just the general physical interface, a stick of memory with contacts on both sides of one edge. It's the type used for everything from some types of FPM DRAM to DDR4. And it's not likely to go away anytime soon.
Is there a way to complete move everything (os,apps, files) from one hard drive to another?

It's always the general physical format, or sometimes an instance of that format (ie. "put a DIMM of RAM in each slot"). I can't even figure out which standard you'd be referring to. SDRAM, maybe?
My aunt has this really stuffed computer, and i've cleaned it twice already, but it is still slow. They don't have a Windows 7 disc, so I was wondering if anyone knew about some cheap, trustworthy, Windows 7 key sites?
Is there a way to complete move everything (os,apps, files) from one hard drive to another?
get a DOS machine and do a Base level copy with spinrite?
Is there a way to complete move everything (os,apps, files) from one hard drive to another?
For that, I use Clonezilla and do a drive to drive clone. It's fairly easy to use.
You take a magnet and swipe it across the source harddrive and then do the same on the destination one :downs:
