1. ArchWiki open on your desktop 2. Arch installer on USB drive 3. Install Arch 4. Update packages, install LXDE/XFCE 5. Your system is usable and faster (For the record, the original Linux EEE PC runs Xandros with LXDE as the desktop environment)
I'll try that another time, but for now Ubuntu seems okay after a few updates.
Speaking of Linux, have Valve released any updates on their plans for Steam on Linux or is Valve Time functioning as usual?
Decided to install ubuntu on my ever so-slow netbook, its still slow as fuck.
You only have one screen, HOW DO YOU LIVE
Has anyone else with Avast been dealing with it... gloating recently? I get a bunch of random popups that I have to go disable in the settings along the lines of "look how much stuff I scanned I'm doing a good job"
1 every now and then, not really a big deal, still a great AV
1 every now and then, not really a big deal, still a great AV
Meanwhile my dad still insists on paying for AVG for everyone else's computers. :v:
You only have one screen, HOW DO YOU LIVE
I have one screen.
I have one screen.
Is it as large as four regular screens.
You only have one screen, HOW DO YOU LIVE
I have a single screen due to the fact that I can't afford more than one.
You only have one screen, HOW DO YOU LIVE
You do realize I am NOT rich enough to afford a better house with a bigger desk, right?

I went to the eye doctor's today and got my eyes dilated. I'm currently sitting at my computer with sunglasses, unable to focus on anything.
Probably. I wouldn't want to be seen dead with that thing.
Why?
Scratch that, the current bid is 51 pounds but the original price was 4410 pounds.. Still it's a tablet from the stone age.
Because you know, it's a 51 pound tablet, for that price it's impossible for it to be of decent quality.
It's second hand.
I'm actually really interested in that Nexus 7 tablet. I'm considering getting the 8 GB flavor.
Looks decent though it is humongous. I really want to pick up a used Sony handheld pc and put windows 8 on it.
The reason I would want to get it is BECAUSE it's huge. I think it would be hilarious.
Wow they are only around ~$200 but I would buy it then have no use for it within a week.
goddammit wingless got into the shootmania beta and she's taunting me about it :(
Is it as large as four regular screens.
As large as four netbook sized screens.
As large as four netbook sized screens.
That's like one whole screen!
I'm actually really interested in that Nexus 7 tablet. I'm considering getting the 8 GB flavor.
Go with 16gb. The OS take sup some of that 7.45gb

[editline]5th July 2012[/editline]
Go with 16gb. The OS take sup some of that 7.45gb
On my phone, with all the games I play, music I listen to, and movies I watch, I'm using only 2.5 gb total out of 18 GB (2 internal + 16 external.) Why should I waste $50 on features I'm never going to use?
I'm currently using Windows Defender on 8 because I can't be assed to look up antivirus programs for 8.
MSE should work decently enough
