Make sure it's set up properly in control panel (Works differently with Nvidia cards to AMD cards I assume so I can't really help you there)
E.g this is what it looks like in nvidia control panel

Forgot to mention another problem, only the stuff for the CPU shows up in the AMD control panel

Try reinstalling drivers then, or making sure they are updated

wubwubwub
My desktop doesn't have that option iirc and it isn't even checked on my laptop :pwn:
But I'll check when I get home

Did that, and it fixed it. Buuut it caused another problem. Both my screens brightness appeared to be turned down by a lot, but the monitors settings didn't change.

Adjust monitor settings appropriately then, maybe you had the settings in the CP changed?

Never changed them in the first place, but turning the contrast on both monitors up to 200 seemed to fix it.
I would talk about my new 6870, but I'm away from home and won't get to see it until Monday.
It's just sitting in my garage from a friend bringing it in. All alone. There's nothing I can do and I feel so helpless.
The last thing you want to hear when working on a computer.
"Hey, do you smell that?"
Well, here are some benchmarks from BF3
Without 6870:
Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
920, 32713, 17, 42, 28.123
With 6870 (tons of weird lag spikes):
Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
1824, 44710, 20, 53, 40.796
Both are running Ultra settings. How do i fix the lag spikes?

BF3 is notorious for varying optimization, some is really bad and some is pretty decent, can't really be helped :(
i3 > 960T
960T>i3 if you can get the extra two cores unlocked

You using 12.6?
I don't think I've said this ever before, but I can say it now:
My keyboard just randomly rebooted.
Ah, the joys of being the owner of an aging Logitech G19.
Gotta love how people who made half the apps for my tablet and most drawing software didn't think about people who use 1000x600 resolution :v:

So uh, I got a letter from Hong Kong today.
I looked at it and thought "Wtf? I didn't order anything from Hong Kong...".
So I opened it.
Inside I found this.

I was really confused at this point, so I opened it.

Oh... that's uh... interesting.
Oh well, at least I got my one-part, one-step, x86-to-Itanium kit.

Awesome, I've been watching that since Day 1

The one thing I hated about it was they released the new video on their site and then one week later on Youtube. So I had to put up with awful loading times on each video.
it seems as though installing Photoshop has given me an old version of Flash player
meaning a Flash player that isn't broken to high shit
neat
I'm planning on going into the music industry and i really must know: are Macs better than PCs for this type of situation, or does it not really matter? I'm always hearing how stuff runs faster on Macs and shit, and that file transfering between Macs is better and all that, wondering If someone could shed some light on the situation.

Out of the box on a Mac, you have Garageband. It's better than anything that ever came free with a PC in my experience, though I'm sure there are good/better commercial Windows applications that do the same thing.
The big program is protools/komplete, and sibelius
[editline]6th July 2012[/editline]
Apparently protools runs faster on Macs but I know nothing about that or why
Someone was crying about not getting the Shootmania beta so I'll give away 2 keys.

Also VGHS is total shit, it's like a Nick kids show with the cheesiest cheese in cheese history. I thought it was very dissapointing.
