Also VGHS is total shit, it's like a Nick kids show with the cheesiest cheese in cheese history. I thought it was very dissapointing.
I liked it, but yeah, it was cheesy as fuck, too much in some cases.
Oh hey Brian D fails by a small margin every time because of his ego till the finale where he heroically wins everything and gets the girl etc.....
Someone was crying about not getting the Shootmania beta so I'll give away 2 keys.
Can I have one?
You almost ruined our TotalBiscuit raid on JC2MP :( I'll just raffle it later I guess.
You almost ruined our TotalBiscuit raid on JC2MP :( I'll just raffle it later I guess.
Wasn't the real Totalbiscuit.
No shit.
I'm planning on going into the music industry and i really must know: are Macs better than PCs for this type of situation, or does it not really matter? I'm always hearing how stuff runs faster on Macs and shit, and that file transfering between Macs is better and all that, wondering If someone could shed some light on the situation.
They're the industry standard. You'll probably be required to have one.
They're the industry standard. You'll probably be required to have one.
What he said, no matter where you go they will probably require the use of a Mac at one point or another. But if you know what you're doing (read: can follow instructions) you can hackintosh dual-boot on your PC.
They're the industry standard. You'll probably be required to have one.
i have no idea why people say this because it is not true at all, all of the truly good mixing/engineering software etc is both mac and windows, and most if not all the hardware supports windows i guess you need a mac to be trendy enough to sell music, though.
Out of the box on a Mac, you have Garageband. It's better than anything that ever came free with a PC in my experience, though I'm sure there are good/better commercial Windows applications that do the same thing.
Garageband is pretty neat for the guys that just record a few things, but it doesn't compare to professional programs. At least sibelius runs fine to my knowledge, but I would get a bit more info on what programs you need. Even though they're the industry standard, the place you're gonna be might use windows compatible programs.

Either way, you're safe if you get a Mac and dual-boot it with Windows.
But then to be even more trendy you gotta use those gimmicky Beats by Dre headphones.
aside from the gimmick factor they are actually very high quality headphones and i wish i had a pair also dr. dre and that makes me 100x cooler
they are actually very high quality headphones
I thought that too, until I listened to a pair of $20 Sennheisers
holy shit if any of you have this dolby bass thing turn it the fuck up like this HOLY SHIT.

[editline]6th July 2012[/editline] Ouch, my ears..
Now play this
The big program is protools/komplete, and sibelius [editline]6th July 2012[/editline] Apparently protools runs faster on Macs but I know nothing about that or why
Having used protools on both platforms extensively I would take a windows PC. Simply because for the money I can get the spec right up. The platforms are near enough identical in performance if you have identical spec hardware. The only differing factor is the OS. I find OSX infuriating to use at times but that's a personal thing. Just buy what you are used to, all the good software is available for both anyway.
goddamn installing HP software is a task I can't install it on Win8 because it's 'too outdated' (when I'm sure it would install just fine anyways) Even in compatibility mode :(
Now play this
Woah I've never liked Klippa in general but I had never heard this.
I'm actually considering playing LoL. Any people who play LoL? (yes this netbook can and has been tested to run LoL)
I do, though I'm on EUW.
yes this netbook can and has been tested to run LoL
As a LoL-player, you better have a fucking SSD in that thing. Some people just take fucking forever to load.
I know there's this problems with titles, but this is just insane:
I think AVG caused my laptop to break, it wouldn't uninstall, removed it using some tool, suddenly chdsk works and chrome doesn't make me bluescreen.
Is it just me or the youtube comments are becoming better? I don't see as many stupid "IWASTHEFIRSTHERE" comments as before
that sounds like it'd violate one of the laws of the universe

Personally I prefer it to be like this. It gives it a bit more "oomph", but the major thing I'm interesting is accentuating the highs. It helps me in positioning things like footsteps coming from people I can't see and off-screen gunfire in video games.
Is it just me or the youtube comments are becoming better? I don't see as many stupid "IWASTHEFIRSTHERE" comments as before
Top comments are slowly becoming more intelligent, the normal comments are still the same if not worse
Top comments are slowly becoming more intelligent, the normal comments are still the same if not worse
Definitely. I remember back in the days when the system was just implemented, I saw a comment that simply says "penis" in a Machinima video and that was the top comment with about 50 +1s.
