Best SSD deal 2012 Buy now! (It's normally $130)
My local MicroCenter was having a similar clearance sale last week but with the 120gb Intel 320 series SSDs for $90 each. [editline]9th July 2012[/editline] I got the last two :)
yall make me want an SSD
I would love an SSD but I would like an (MAJOR) update before.
I would love an SSD but I have yet to get my car fixed you know what I'll call a body shop right fucking now and then when that's done I can buy shit
yall make me want an SSD
I love my SSD/HDD hybrid, more computers should have them.
Holy fuck, I finally found the right WiFi drivers for this laptop. Holy fuck... Time for a break I guess.
10k afaik have we already done sipwicket "turning it on and off again" edition?
"turning it on and off again"
Shouldn't it be off, then on? :v:
10k afaik have we already done sipwicket "turning it on and off again" edition?
I don't think so.
10k afaik have we already done sipwicket "turning it on and off again" edition?
Ages ago, I believe.
Ages ago, I believe.
actually, no not yet!
Yeah, switched them up :v: I like that title, it's very sipwicket-y and a decent pop culture reference, and i'll be honestly surprised if it hasn't been used before.
i think we were planning that for v11 or something then LinuX went and fucked it up
i think we were planning that for v11 or something then LinuX went and fucked it up
Oh, that guy. Also what happened to the dude who got scared when he ran Prime95 on his 990X and saw all the cores going to 100% and shat his pants? And other shit like that. I think he messed around with his cooler and finally burnt his 990X. Who was he, Axiom?
Why the fuck are drivers like FUCKHUGE, like 100MB+ It is a major pain in the ass when you DO NOT FUCKING KNOW WHICH ONE IS THE REAL ONE BECAUSE HP CAN'T FUCKING DECIDE WHOSE WIFI ADAPTER ARE WE GOING TO USE ON THIS FUCKING MODEL! Seriously, for the G6s, there are like 4 different manufacturers. WTF HP, I guess you weren't even thinking.
Fuck me i clicked Cancel instead of reply after writing this. Going again Even worse when you need to download a printer driver and the download is massive. Any company that releases a printer driver download 100mb+ should have the people responsible taken behind the nearest head office and shot I cant count how many times i'v been helping people with printers (Odd job tech for old people) and it requires me to download a 100mb file on what essentially is Dial Up Bonus points given for instances where you see that the driver part of the download is around 10Mb and the rest if fucking bloatware /rant
i hate logitech sometimes "oh hey you i see you bought the g930s. heres the disc for it" (its the old program for the headset, and they dont work with it)
So. Should FINALLY get my fucking laptop tomorrow. Asus (among other things) is too cheap to actually include a recovery disk, and burning my own would take six DVDs because of some stupid reason. So this is probably what I'll do instead: * Wipe main partition of hard drive, leave recovery partition intact * Install SSD into the (currently-empty) second drive bay, with two partitions (100GB and 28GB) * Do a fresh vanilla install of Windows on the larger SSD partition, install drivers and crap manually * Slap Arch on the smaller partition * Move \Users and /home to the hard drive (the ex-Windows partition), disable swap on both OSes, move hiberfile to hard drive Anyone see any problems with that?
Just got a Das Keyboard Ultimate from J&R brand new for $105 reduced from $139 by the manager, just because I was British :v: That guy was awesome.
Best SSD deal 2012 Buy now! (It's normally $130)
Damn. Too bad newegg.ca doesn't carry any Samsung SSDs... Plus I already ordered a Crucial M4 ($148 after shipping and tax) last week. I was all happy after driving around the city all day, mowing lawns, picking up my brother from work and getting the dog groomed, since my SSD would be back when I get home. Well, Purolator screwed the pooch on that one, they put it on the wrong truck and I couldn't even pick it up at their store. The woman there said it should be delivered tomorrow...
Just installed my second 6870 (Makol <3) and it says Crossfire Disabled in Speccy, but still shows the other card. How do I get it to enable? I have the crossfire bridge installed.

http://demoseen.com/windowpane/magister.png.html This is a PNG interpreted as HTML that loads itself as compressed JavaScript. I really don't know how to even respond to that. [editline]9th July 2012[/editline] there are a few other files like it in the root directory
Holy shit look at this from Amazon a 240 GB ssd for 169$
I didn't think kingston was very good though?
Wow. SSDs for $.70/GB. We'll probably witness the death of mechanical drives within two years.
I still feel like SSDs are kind of experimental, so I'm holding off on getting one. i'm rather patient anyways.
If we go by the posts per thread thing, then Wingar wins again.
...oops [editline]10th July 2012[/editline] Just use this op [template] whoever makes it, we're going to have to decide on a name, though.
Changed my equalizer from the realtek thingy to this (slightly modified "soft" profile) It feels better for music, but it's kinda weird since I'm used to the normal thing.
