Does the laptop have switchable GPU's (Switchable between the IGP and Dedicated)? If so, you're going to have a shitload of "fun" with Arch. Linux doesn't like that, yet.
Yes, but my plan is to *just* use the IGP under Linux. A 660 is overkill for desktop compositing, and Intel has the best Linux drivers (or so I've heard).
Which one do I trust?
I've decided that the Asus AI suite thing is kinda bullshit, RealTemp tells me I'm getting 40-50c when AI Suite tells me that I'm going over 74c
Ai Suite.
Should I reset my OC aswell? I OCed it with AI suite and if coretemp is to trust, I get up to 75c in BF3. I have a pretty bad PC case though and only one case fan. Might buy a new case and some more fans.

Hah, just randomly ran into agentgamma on a CS:GO server.

I don't really notice if the room gets hotter as it's generally hot here nowadays even with doors and windows open. Still I want to buy a new case, recommendations?
Corsair Carbide 500r or a Antec P280 which also come out soon with diffrent colour's and windows or if you would like a more silent pc an Antec P193 V3.

I installed the Intel drivers to use the IGP and it said something about lack of AMD drivers, so I sigh and install those and then it starts and just gives me a black screen, so I kill it and remove the Intel drivers and it wants the Intel drivers. It's troublesome, but from what I've heard different on each laptop chipset and whatnot. Maybe it's fixed now, but it was pretty annoying when I tried.
It is a picture of a scan of a phone what has open a picture of a BSOD what is taken of the screen using that phone.
Well that's one way to do it. Pretty clever, IMO.
Now that I think about it, it seems fine to someone who doesn't know computers. You capture the screen But can't print out the phone image, so you scan the phone And give the paper with the machine.

Oh wait I just noticed it's a scan of a picture taken by a phone and not a scan of a BSOD in the phone that is impossibly intrincate

I can see the logical process.
Guys... I got drunk sunday night and I slept from like 11am-5pm yesterday, woke up for a bit and then slept 11pm-10am. Productive Monday, eh? People called asking me to fix their computer and I just told em I'd get to it today. I feel horrible.
What's a good motherboard with wifi for $150 or less? (z77)

damn. I really don't think I can spend 200 on it but I'm sick of dicking around with pci cards
Are there any breakthroughs that will improve them in the future, or are SSDs going to hit a brick wall soon?
That I don't know, but this is a physical limitation. Smaller transistors will obviously wear out sooner than larger ones.
Then make them larger? There's absolutely no need for them to be itty bitty in a desktop situation.
Does anyone here have experience with WinServer2k3, Exchange and MySQL? If yes, please add me on Steam.

Hey I have some laptop 500GB hard drive, and I'm not sure if using just the sata cable or would i need to add the power connector on?
Then make them larger? There's absolutely no need for them to be itty bitty in a desktop situation.
One drawback of that would be consuming more power (which I don't see why you would even care about that few milliwatt of increment) and lower capacity. But I agree, I think there should be 3.5" SSDs with multiple pcbs stacked together with both larger capacities and lifespan.
So, I was on a Mumble server with a guy I know. I also happened to have a laptop that wasn't used at the moment right beside me, and a 3.5mm audio cable with 2 male plugs. 10 hours of Cantina Band really lightens the mood.
