I was advised against that 'cause 1GB RAM and 1.6 atom.
Steam works okay under wine [editline]12th July 2012[/editline] dammit wingless
I was advised against that 'cause 1GB RAM and 1.6 atom.
I used to run it on 512MB RAM 700Mhz Celery M on Arch. It's a little slow, but it works. You could always try Vapor but really, that's luck. It works for some systems but the UI fucks up on others.
Loving the new subforum layout and forum descriptions. On Xubuntu here, what's the best way to get some form of steam chat?
Vapor?
I tried vapor but the only download I found was an .exe that didn't work on xubuntu and I have zero clue as to how I'm supposed to "compile" the code for my OS, or if that's what I have to do I consider myself computer literate but I've never touched Linux for more than a couple hours before.

Maaan You know what was cool? The PS2's menu screens. The settings menu was beautiful. I wish I could have that on my phone.
What about the PSX startup sound that was badass
Oh my fucking god all the prices are so low what the fuck is going on I think I am going to miss half of the sales because i have to go to work but fuck it the prices are so looooow. [sp]Steam-Motherfucking-Summer sale started![/sp]
And I can't enjoy the savings, but i'm glad you all got them. Damn you virtual money!
DE:HR for $7.50, yes or no? trying to make my money count as I don't have much of it. I want portal 2 as well, though.
DE:HR for $7.50, yes or no? trying to make my money count as I don't have much of it. I want portal 2 as well, though.
Do it. It's a great game.
Fuck if I buy both of them that leaves me with like $10! DE:HR probably lasts longer than Portal 2 though...
There goes my fund for a new PC

Intel is cutting down on ssd prices. Source
Damnit, I just had to restore my PC. I didn't even install anything last time I booted it, but this time, it got stuck on the Windows logo every time I booted it, so I force shut it down, and entered startup repair. It restored me to some really early settings, even though I make restore points/backup every sunday. I still have no idea what caused it.
Not going to spend any money on the summer sale. I need to get some money together for a new PC + Laptop
I'm probably going to spend ~$30 + most of my next paycheck (which will be very small due to me not working recently)
How would I get Windows installed to a separate SSD? It's for a new build that I ordered. It doesn't have an optical drive. I also don't have any flash drives available (not to mention MY build refuses to recognize any USB mass storage devices). What other ways could I get Windows 7 on another SSD (I have a computer that semi-works [mine])?
Anyone have any ideas on this?
Anyone have any ideas on this?
Your only option is probably an external USB DVD burner, I don't think you can install Windows from internal media, like from a hard drive. Also, you are post 10000 in this thread.

I thought up an idea: Put the SSD from the new build into my (old) build. Mount a Windows 7 ISO and install to that drive from there. I'm not sure if that would work, but it's worth a try I suppose.
