You got no idea what the course you took was about ?
So the SIII was just announced and is to be launched at the end of may, Europe first from what i understood
Dammit, Longer wait and i'll have to hope that the provider i got price cuts on will supply it
[editline]3rd May 2012[/editline]
Still, Waiting for it instead of getting the SII is probably worth it. Hopefully.
The SIII isn't worth it in my opinion, design is horrible and all it adds is a better cpu and loads of new bloatware
So would the Galaxy S II be a better buy?
What baffles me more than people taking offense to keeping their computer on 24/7 is people who take offense to people who don't keep their computer on 24/7.

If my PC was actually doing something overnight, sure it would stay on, otherwise its sucking power in for exactly no reason.
I just shut it off at night because I have no use for it when I'm asleep.
The servers stay up 24/7 though.
Why leave your car running if you aren't going anywhere with it?
Why leave your car running if you aren't going anywhere with it?
Because it will be on when you wake up.
So would the Galaxy S II be a better buy?
GS2 + official battery extender.
Why leave your car running if you aren't going anywhere with it?
Why not, it is not like it is on full thrust etc. The mileage is 100x lower, the battery doesn't empty and when I have to go, it goes from its spot with no problems immideatly.
So would the Galaxy S II be a better buy?
HTC One X
Because it will be on when you wake up.
Doesn't matter anyway. I have an SSD.
Power it on, walk off let it boot and sign in.

whore
Mine stays on so I can keep my irc logger running

Maybe I'm just a penny pusher but I'm on the "every little bit counts" train of thought. $120 a year on top of what I'm already saving could be a nice little boost to my retirement fund. Or maybe after a couple of years it can buy me a nice little vacation, or maybe even a whole new computer.

why does this thread exist
Oh god the SIII was gonna be the phone that might make me switch sides.
Well they failed with that. The HTC One X definitely looks nice. We'll see what's out there in a couple months and who my circle of friends is comprised of. Currently I use iMessage group chats a lot, so if I stop talking to those people I'll probably switch to Android.
I figure I need to give both sides a try before I can give an official opinion on which is better and which someone should buy. At least beyond: "If you want it to just work out of the box, iPhone. If you want to tweak it and mess with it and be able to control every aspect of the phone, Android. If you want no apps, Blackberry or WP7."

If you can hold out for it, the next Nexus is definitely worth looking at.

The GNex has too many flaws for me to consider it, however.
Running its GPU at its maximum attainable resolution, and underclocking the CPU was a terrible idea.

Why would you even put WP7 in the same league as BB?
