Anyone know anything about ereaders? Looking at a Kobo Vox as I can't get Nooks here and the Kindle Fire isn't here either. Any ideas?

Normal Kindle Keyboard or Kindle Touch are probably the best on the market. Personally I have a Sony Reader PRS-T1, which doesn't format text as well as the Kindles but has a longer battery life (Multiple months compared to 1, Come on) but that's about the only advantage.
I would probably recommend Kindles over anything.

Yeah okay Dell, that's a handy message

Suuure
I sometimes hate steam because I can not limit the DL speeds there.
Prepare for slow connection!
Or that it sometimes updates another game faster than the one you want to play, but you want to play both or see both updated.

I hold in my hand more RAM than all of you owned together.
So fast, so amazing and so beautiful.
It is a 9 pin, Intel, Laptop SIMM with 1 Mega WORD of memory.
It is glorious.

You could EASILY fit 2 sizable Microsoft Word documents in there, why would you need anything else?!
This shit is eating my cpu up.

I don't think it's that, unless Firefox supports chrome addons now.

I have a DX and a Touch. When it comes to useability, the DX is way better than the Touch, however the Touch is way more portable.

Yeah I noticed minor ghosting on my touch but I read it gets better after a couple days, wouldn't be noticeable if I was reading anyway, portability is great for me.
Just bought game of thrones book, probably going to grab a few of the Discworld books (novels?) later, looking forward to my weekend.

I have the Kindle Touch 3G. I regret it, I should have gone with the Nook Simple Touch. The horrible browser doesn't work over 3g anymore, so i should have gotten the wifi one instead. It can't connect to my phone when set to broadcast wifi. It lacks capslock so passwords for my relatives wifi is a pain.
Mostly because the Nook has a microSD card slot, support for more formats, and an interface not constructed out of html.
It's called calibre, use it..
I have finally sorted this fucking laptop out.
The screen had these red splotches all over it.
I thought it was the GPU being fucked so i plugged in an external monitor, nope the monitor was fine, no splotches.
I then put the screen on a different laptop and then find that it's fine.
4 days of confusion later it suddenly dawns on me that the cable could be broken, i grab one from my parts bin and GUESS WHAT
it worked.

jesus christ
The browser is not a feature. It's listed as "experimental" for a reason, it's not meant for daily usage. Format support is completely irrelevant with Calibre, too.
Am I the only one who just unzips ISOs to a folder and installs whatever they had without burning or mounting
'cause it works just fine and I don't have to set up daemon or waste a DVD or anything
Almost never works for me.
