I could type whole text messages on my dumbphone without looking
But that's nigh impossible on a smartphone unless your autocorrect is REALLY good
I could Swype a text message on my phone without looking, but it's just so much slower.
Well, I finally found out *why* the laptop is taking so long. They apparently had some issues restocking - Asus is being slow shipping out new ones. They *should* have been able to send mine out already.
They expect to get them "any moment now", then 1-2 days to add the SSD (they're probably a bit overwhelmed as well, considering I can add a drive in 1-2 minutes), and 1-4 days to ship.
Should have it by next weekend, at the latest.
So I'm apparently going to my senior prom thing now...
With a lesbian... :v:
In other news, I realized that they released a second version of the iPhone 4 at some point. This one has hex screws, the old one had phillips. This is also considerably faster and has better battery usage. Odd.
Have a threesome with her mom.

They did this with the iPad 2 as well.
Bit late :v:

I just make the game, when launched, disable desktop composition. It turns on automatically again afterwards and it only happens to one game, Just Cause 2.
Happens to me with Battlefield 3.
I swear, I was doing good, then that message pops up for the 50th time. Right before I was about to shoot a tank.

I've never had that happen.
I've had some apps automatically disable desktop compositing, and I've manually set a few to do it while said app is running (usually things that somehow get fucked up by compositing), but I've never seen that dialog before in my life.
I saw it once shortly before a GPU failure

The tracking number I got for this iPhone 4 toolkit off ebay is 00040000745066521630. That's not a real fucking tracking number. :tinfoil:

needs a bit of love
Oh boy oh boy oh boy
My last irl best friend needs a laptop to borrow until August because she has summer online classes that span the entire week.
They don't own a computer at her house (nor can they afford one because they're shit poor), she can only use the one at her grandparents that she only visits every once in a while. So, since I'm the only one she knows with a family with many computers, she asks me. I quickly came up with an idea.
You guys remember this piece of shit, right?

Yep. That old Gateway of mine.
My brother ended up fixing it by buying a new hard drive for it, and now it runs like new. The only thing is it's missing is all it's drivers (and we can't find the disk that came for it) so I'm probably going to have problems finding drivers for it since it's rather... Old.
AND my brother is a whiny bastard when it comes to letting people borrow things. He considers the laptop his now since he spent the money to fix it, and I can see where he's coming from. But it's been sitting around for almost a year and he hasn't done anything with it to make it REALLY usable. I'm hoping he'll let her borrow it. ... If not, I have no other ideas.

Check oldapps.com, they might have some of the older drivers.
I'd have to snag it from my brother before I can do anything. It's still in the festering pile of his dirty clothes across the street.
...
Do they make Febreeze for laptops? :v:
am i the only one who knows how awesome google apps is

Why doesn't she just do her work on campus?
My laptop's backup cmos battery decided to fry the motherboard so I just spent my days in the computer lab doing my work. Sounds like someone I used to be friends with and was pretty damn poor. He felt like he was entitled everything and deserved a better computer and faster internet at his house to do his programming coursework, yet the room next to the class had new i7 systems unused all day.

Uhh... Because she isn't in college... It's some thing for her highschool. Unless "campus" is a universal school termanology, idk I haven't went to a brick and mortar school since the beginning of middle school
I assume it's something like summer school or whatever. I'm not sure because she lives several states away.
Libraries have computers open all day too.
I spent a ton of time there when At&t accidentally destroyed the dsl lines for my neighborhood.

Her mom doesn't even have a car. Even if she did, Gas. I'm kinda her last hope. They live in the ghettos too, so if there even IS a library, I don't think it'd be a pleasant experience.
am i the only one who knows how awesome google apps is

It's nice having GMail and all that awesome stuff, except with your own domain name. The only annoyance that I have with it is that I'm stuck with the domain I originally set it up for. I have a secondary domain that I want to use as the default, though I imagine that would be a gigantic pain in the ass to switch. I can still send and receive email as that secondary domain, fortunately.
My grandmother is on DSL and I got her a new all in one plus fax machine. I went to see if splitting causes issues for DSL.
I google.

When we don't have a teacher in we miss out on the whole day.
Good when it happens though, I got 2 assignments done last time then went home 3 hours early.

Droid keyboard. Weird to use.
I used Go Keyboard for a while but it annoyed the fuck out of me. I like the stock one right now.
Go Keyboard is terrible.
Flak's WoW account got hacked, confronted the hacker in whisper..
"no ..Iam ur friend pls"
yup, that's Flak!
When we say "Hacked," we mean "Had password lying around somewhere in public," right?
