Not only that, but manufacturers who make really shitty plugs
No power to a fan? Turns out one of the leads on the molex cable is loose and won't make contact with the other lead!
That right there is why I hardwired my fans.
I want nvidia or evga to make a custom 670x4 board. Put 4x4gb ram on it and four 670's. They can do it.
Pretty much what inconspicious said.
Their employees are forced to pretty much do whatever is possible to upsell damn near anything.
As a customer I have had my card declined at their terminal by the sales assistant's manager (Confirmed by the bank that they stood there and watched me phone!) just because I refused to take Norton and Insurance with my TF101... I drove to the bank and came back with cash. Yeah, let's see you decline THAT.
I just couldn't do that to people.
As far as I understand it, if you don't do that to customers you usually will be dismissed or reprimanded.

Kepler doesn't seem to scale well over 2 cards.
But maybe the 670 sli-scaling is better.
Whoever designed molex is an asshole.
I like molex plugs
SATA is so fucking flimsy

molex is like IDE, once its in it bloody well isn't coming out again.
molex is like IDE, once its in it bloody well isn't coming out again.
I can still feel the pain of trying to remove a deep-seated IDE. Oh god why do I still have IDE.

No third-party browsers in Windows 8 ARM?
Am I the only one who still thinks of SATA cables as "new"? When someone says "hard drive cable", the one that pops into my mind is still IDE, and I have to remind myself that people use SATA now.
It's probably because most of my desktop builds used IDE, while my newer, SATA computers are either laptops (no cables), or this Mac Pro (again, no cables - it connects them straight to the mobo).
670 looks quite better then a second 6850 right now...

This is exactly the same with me. To be quite honest I'm surprised my IDE HDDs still haven't bit the dust.

Of course, a 6850 is a midrange budget card from the last series of AMD cards.

Misconception, they aren't allowing you to use the win32 api's in the desktop interface, you have to port everything over to the new api's Mozilla are bitching + sensationalist news.
[editline]10th May 2012[/editline]
This is good BTW, the win32 API's should have died long ago.

run every virus and malware scanner and hope for the best.
actually that's a horrible idea because you'll probably get a hundred keyloggers in the process.

I usually like Guru3D, but what the fuck were they thinking doing benchmarks on FarCry, Bad Company 2, Lost Planet, and Alien Versus Predator. Metro 2033 is probably the best example of scaling because it's so much GPU limited.
BF3 looks bad scaling because the engine doesn't like being over 100fps. I run it on low and get only like 98fps. Compared to like 60 to 70 at 2560x1600.
Really bad reviewer. So much effort into all the numbers without considering that putting three of the fastest GPU's on the market for single screen gaming for a fucking 3-4 year old game which wasn't hard to max when it came out is just stupid.
I'm kinda excited.
Since mom saw me beating myself up for getting a netbook instead of a lightweight laptop, she's offering to get me a laptop as a highschool graduation present. YAY!
Only thing that irks me is that she can only get them from Dell while they're having their "12 days of Dell" sale, where they're putting a different computer on sale every day for 12 days, and I can only have one out of those. Hrm.
Hoping that won't be a difficult choice. I don't need a strong GPU, nor do I need an i7. (Imo an i7 in a laptop is a bad idea, as evident of Zeriga's computer overheating and shutting off a lot lately. It has an i7, inside of a Dell.)
All I'd be doing is just some browsing, no game playing really.
AND if I could get one, instead of letting my friend borrow that gateway, I could give the netbook for her to plain old have. Reformatted first, of course.

You guys are incredible and I need help.
Got my HBM-520 bluetooth headset. It worked at one point on my computer in the past, but now it says it requires drivers and I can't find them.
Help me doctor.

Salespeople are assholes.
Electronic stores that force employees to be assholes... not okay. I buy all my electronics online. Laptop, tablet, phone. Only my iPod was bought from BB and they tried to sell me zaggs and cases out the wazoo.

The Best Buy over here didn't even try too hard to do that.
I went in to get my iPod (a classic because my library has been expanding rapidly), the lady merely asked "Anything else? Case maybe?". Now I bought a case (because if you don't get something to protect your investment you deserve to have it destroyed), but I'm 100% positive that if I said "No thank you" she'd leave me alone.
