Yup, my raspi has just paid for itself.
I just need to solve the overscan issue... wait for finalized sound drivers, hardware acceleration and perhaps a DSI to LDVS converter card and I could build a portable C64 out of this thing!
Pepper;35919398']I'm thinking of making a custom battery for my laptop, one that covers the whole bottom and has like, 45 cells and lasts 4 days under full load.
What would you do to make it, gut a ton of batteries and wire their cells together to a single PCB?

After tearing down a dead battery for the same model laptop, they use 6 Li-Ion 18650 cells wired in threes to bring the voltage to 10.6 volts.
string a load together and then megabattery is born.

also, thermal fuses.
Li-poly tends to go boom when it gets hot.

Or at the very least start to expand.
Alkali metals in general tend to go boom.

Also, I've been reading a high-level chemistry blog, mostly for the stories of shit getting blown up.
Now I know how most people feel when I start going on about computer shit. Words words words words words.

I'm getting cells that have tabs on.
Should stop most of the heat from the soldering iron getting to it.

so there was an apple ad on the back of the most recent rolling stone magazine, one of them with a person asking siri a question and it answering it "perfectly"
the question for this ad was "Siri, what does poison oak look like?" (a pretty common plant on the west coast of USA, unfortunately...)
the picture that was on the screen was one of poison ivy which looks remarkably different

pretty nice iphone isn't it
oh wait there's no iphone at all because usps are assholes and waited for the 5 minute period where my mom and sister were dropping the car off literally across the street to deliver
My GTX 680 and 120Hz 1080p monitor can arrive any moment now
I hate waiting :C
Marketing a phone that breaks by looking at it too hard by advertising it's emergency-solving capabilities is a pretty bad idea

This is quite dangerous, as the more batteries in parallel creates a higher total internal resistance, causing more total power being dissipated and possible overheating the batteries, causing an explosion. Another reason this is a horrible idea is because you simply wont achieve the results you are looking for. You will have horrible power efficiency since the source internal resistance will be far larger than the internal resistance of the laptop. Not to mention with the improper wall charger you will possibly damage the charger and batteries, causing one series to discharge into another. This is far more complicated than simply soldering more batteries in parallel.

It's about capturing your point of view, or how to look at something mostly.
