the gameplay is marginally different, the skillsets in themselves aren't such absolute clusterfucks to set up since half of them are mapped to weapons now
That's one thing I did like immediately.
It made life simpler until I couldn't decide what weapon I wanted to use.

i liked dual daggers on the elementalist because i like close range but i also like magic which is usually kind of paradoxical
I like using 2h swords.
There's nothing lick slapping someone in the face with a huge ass blade until they die. But if I use a 1h sword when tanking I always make sure I have the biggest sword possible.
The bigger the weapon the better.. right?

Oops.
I apparently bought another screen replacement for my iPhone.
So now I have a screen replacement replacement replacement??
Always good to have back ups!
I just slept like nine and a half hours.

Ah MMOs...
It's hard to find one that isn't a grindfest at some point- or turns to pure PVP to get anywhere. Or... In the case of some, Pay2Win with cash shops.
Lotta Nexon games are guilty of this.
Mabinogi- More of a social game then one you really fight in. But nonetheless, the combat is a little more... Interactive and dynamic then just point, click, chose skill and wait for the enemy to die. There's blocking, countering, smashing to get rid of an enemy's block, etc. (Another MMO, Shin Megami Tensei Online, uses the same type of combat)
Issue? After a while you find yourself doing a lot of dungeons and other such things that aren't in a quest. You can try to start on a Generation to actually DO something, but... Eventually you get to a point in them where it's extremely hard, and you will die. You WILL die, and there's nothing you can do about it, even with a full party of total level 500 friends.
Very definitely a sort of Pay2Win, as to get anywhere fast and for extra battle help, you need to buy, pets. A lot of them. Because they can only be summoned for a limited time once per IRL day.
Vindictus- Hack and slash, to put it simply but I bet most of you knew that. Game starts off pretty fun and pretty quick, but as you get into the later levels, you will find yourself grinding through dungeons you've beaten before repeatedly to be able to even handle the next dungeon for your current quest. Sometimes you'll even find yourself grinding to just wear some fucking armor, since every part of the same set are at different goddamn level requirements. Even then, who says you can even support the weight of it? So you gotta level more to put skill points in your heavy armor proficiency!
Last time I checked, not so Pay2Win, but by now that might've changed.
Dungeon Fighter Online- Streets of Rage/Final Fight-esque gameplay. Combat here is EXTREMELY fun, but the grinding bit is very similar to Vindictus' whole ordeal. Minus the weight issue.
Only Pay2Win if you suck a ton at the game, or if you're a fashion freak. Because armor doesn't change your appearance, "accessories" do, which you have to pay for with real money, or buy for a zillion gold in player shops, when gold is hard to come by in the first place sometimes.
Though the accessories do have properties on them to enhance certain stats, so it's not just an aesthetic thing.
There's plenty of other MMOs I've played that aren't Nexon's, but they all seem to share a lot of the same problems.
For all the noobs in this thread you're going to want to download the latest 1.60 beta patch, it runs alot better then 1.60 then read the readme that comes with it to install.
To anybody looking to upgrade you will need a relatively modern CPU with 4 or more cores to run it above 40FPS, GPU is not as important as statics are rendered with CPU because a 560 or a 6870 will run OA fine. SSD's or Ramdisk's SUBSTANTIALLY improve performance too because once you have a good CPU you will be bottlenecked by your 7200RPM drive.
I hope this helps :eng101:
ArmA2 can use up to 6 cores, if I was referencing Bulldozer I would have said 8. Both the i7's and Phenom II's have 6 core variants that run really well (specifically the i7's) in ArmA2. Way to take something simple as that and turn it into a shitstorm.
Surprised he didn't mention "no hyper 212 cooler" as a requirement.

Statics are not rendered with the CPU. And i'm pretty much running into the fact that my 570 is bottlenecking my 2500k.

Hyper 212 Evo is the only one worth getting, the plus and non-plus arent very good even for the price.

ArmA2 has a pretty weird way of doing things. Dwarden would know more then I would, though I noticed if you turn up object detail in ArmA2 your GPU usage isn't affected your CPU usage is however.

What? There's fuck all difference between the two. Yes the Evo is slightly better but not usually worth the extra money.

Isn't Evo the only one you can do a Push/Pull on?
Me and Makol have worked it out. Diablo 3 and Starcraft II run on the same servers, Blizzard use a cluster of Mac Mini's, 4 we think!
Which is why it died on launch.
