The fuck is with the keyboard? What a boner-kill for a $2000 build..
Should have got a 5990 with that money. And maybe stepped down from an i7 to a Xeon and OCed it.
final update for today: i'm hoping that we have installed everything properly, i know we need to work on the cable management. we booted it up and set up RAID1 using the intel matrix storage configuration thing and then tried installing Win7, but it ended up giving us a BSOD. if it occurs again, i'll post on here, but things are looking swell! [editline]01:16AM[/editline] also, that keyboard is actually fucking niiiiiice :) [editline]01:27AM[/editline] ALLLLLSO, we figure that the BSOD problem has to do with the raid volume not being formatted :v: we're going to try that fix tomorrow AND THEN see if it still gives us problems

That keyboard is pretty nice indeed, though I got the wired version :smug:
ALLLLLSO, we figure that the BSOD problem has to do with the raid volume not being formatted :v: we're going to try that fix tomorrow AND THEN see if it still gives us problems
I used to have the problem of not being able to install windows if I had more then 4 gigs of ram.
good news, Win7 was successfully installed, but the fucking BIOS and RAID gave me problems up the butt hole. I think I've fixed it however...we shall see with it running 24/7 for the next while. All that's left is cable management, drivers, Win7 and BIOS optimization and overclocking. More pictures to come.

How can you spend 2 grand and just have a 5770 (and one of them at that)? Cool build though, good luck with your bosd problem

Cool build though, good luck with your bosd problem
If you read the other parts on the part list, you'll see why :) We fixed the BSOD problem, took off the RAID (gave me too much problems), but now it's not recognizing the other hard disk. Will post a video of this problem to try to find a solution.

i dont see why people are complaining over the 5770, its a solid card
i dont see why people are complaining over the 5770, its a solid card
For the most part it's a 4870. The 4870 maxes out tons of games at 1920 x 1200 for me with 40-50+ FPS. It's a great card and plus, he's not gaming that much. It's a great card, stop complaining guys.
Are you using that old CRT as your monitor?
Are you using that old CRT as your monitor?
no, it's just for testing purposes
The fuck is with the keyboard? What a boner-kill for a $2000 build..
I don't get why people waste £80 on a keyboard, mine cost £10 and it's fine. I can understand a gaming mouse, but a keyboard just seems a waste
Its EBS Gamer, dont worry
