After updating to this, I can't remove the menu button that's in the top left corner so that it stays removed. Every time I restart the browser, it comes back. It didn't happen on 10.5 at all. Does anyone know how I can fix it?

Nevermind, I didn't realize that the button used it's own mini-toolbar. Just had to turn that toolbar off.
I finally gave FireFox the boot. That laggy piece of shit. I got so damn sick of it and it's not my pc's faut. Anyway, Opera is so damn fast and slick. I love it! Just curious to see if there is anything simmilar to Adblock and Noscript. I bet there are but I just can't find them.

Adblock on page one.
(OBlock)

Thanks and I just realised that I asked for a noscript like thing further up on the thread. :v: Was looking in all kinds of Opera threads for my post but I didn't find it.
By the way, am I the only one person who has got pretty long startup and shutdown times of Opera?

Do you happen to use mail or feeds? It seems that kinda affect loading times immensely.

Both of them;
I've got like 17000 e-mails so far (YouTube, forum reply notifications [glad that FP has control panel!]) and many RSS messages, so maybe this is the reason.

Just noticed he's released it as a Unite app now
http://unite.opera.com/application/641/
Alternate adblock, download wget for windows and set this to run as a scheduled task:
[path to wget]\wget.exe -N -P%appdata%\Opera\Opera http://fanboy.co.nz/adblock/opera/urlfilter.ini
Why the hell this thing (red button in top left corner) keeps appearing? I've placed it on bottom, but it still keeps appearing every time I restart Opera.

I must say that the Opera team does some good work on this. They've made it much faster here. I'm impressed.

I had that problem as well. Right click it, and go to Customize > Appearance. Delete the button from there, then a small box should be outlined in yellow. Without selecting anything else, change the placement to "Off." That's the only way I was able to keep it removed. If you ever want to get it back, all you have to do is toggle the "Show hidden toolbars while customizing" check-box.

It worked! Many thanks!
My opera layout doesnt look like the 10.5 update anymore. (Big O icon in the corner.etc)
How can i change it back? This happened when i upgraded to 10.51. It looks like what Opera looked like before.

Nvm figured it out

Just thought I'd post this here. Can't wait for the 10.52 stable.
Holy shit.
Also, I would love to use Unknown unknown.
I just tried opera and I love it for the turbo feature it has, because I have a really slow Internet connection. I just have one problem, it lags a lot compared to Firefox when I scroll a website and when I hover over links the cursor does not change to the hand until I have pressed it, it is really irritating. Is anyone else having these problems?

I've noticed that too while running Turbo. Turn it off to fix it.
If I remember correctly, it only happens if the page is still loading. If you click the X to stop the loading while using Turbo, does it fix it?
Yeah that fixed it, but what is the point of using opera then when I really only loved it for that feature because my download speed is 50 Kb/s. Using turbo I can actually look at the Lmao pics thread without waiting 5 minutes for the pictures to load.

Just let the pages load completely or stop the loading if you want to click the links. Either that or just click them anyway as they should still work.
Ok, but that still does not fix the problem with the cursor changing to the hand unless I have clicked the link, it sounds like not a big deal, but it is really irritating.
How they calculate performance ?
And the performance of IE8...
I just filed a bug report for you.

Oh don't worry, I know what you mean and it is irritating. I have a fast connection so I don't need Turbo though.
I honestly find Opera slower then Chrome without turbo.
I am not going to make the switch permanently trying it for a week or so
