i said that because i'm tired of people complaining the program sucks/is shit when it fails to work on their devices despite it working 99% of the time. aka unappreciative of the dev's work.
under normal circumstances your setup should have worked. try again, users have reported it working only after 4-5 tries. post some screenshot too yea.

Nope. Fresh restore to 5.1 without jailbreak.
Used 9% battery in 10 minutes, doing nothing but listening music.
While writing this post it's dropped down to 86%.
I need a new phone.
I was gonna give 5.1 a try, don't think I'll bother now.
don't undated to 5.1 if you are jailbroken on 5.0.1. simply nothing compelling enough to give up the untethered 5.0.1. and the purported battery fixes doesn't seem to work either.

I'm using a PC which is running Windows 7 x64
My iPhone 4 is up to date to.
I must admit I'm not very clued up on jailbreaking but I would like to use different themes and the lock screen is quite boring to look at.

there is basically no risk whatsoever, just find the right jailbreak for your model and firmware
if you hit any snags you can always restore it and start over

if you're on 5.1 then i'd wait since there isnt an untether for it yet but other then that go ahead and do it since theres really nothing to worry up
Thanks for the help. Got it jailbroken and apart from the spam ads on cydia which is understandable I'm enjoying the way you can change the look of the iPhone's display.
Everything went well I'm currently using 5.0.1 firmware. I do have a question about changing lock screens though. I've tried a few portal themed ones. But when I load them up my lock screen is still set to default . I would like to give them a try to since I like how the battery display works with the aperture logo.

You'll just have to check it when you get it. When I got mine it was a couple of versions back from the newest.

I feel like I'm the only one without battery life problems.
I constantly text/listen to music for hours at a time, and it usually lasts 2-3 days without any charging...
Lucky you, the battery life on my iPod Touch 4g can read 7% less from browsing the web.
My ipod touch 4gs battery doesn't even charge fully.
When it's plugged in and charged it's 100%
as soon as i unplug it though it's suddenly 96%
