marcus, if you used Spite, that shit is volatile There's no decrypted 5.1 firmware so using Spite to install i4siri is really dangerous, and IIRC the only way to uninstall it is a full on restore

Okay i am actually still paying for my phone, it's like monthly shit. Would it be stupid to jailbreak? [editline]oh[/editline] Okay so if i need to "backup" my iPhone stuff without making a backup itself, like if i wan't to move pictures. Do i "sync" it? Sayi wan't to sync every picture/video i have. I just wan't it saved so after i jailbreak i can get it back without restoring and remove my jailbreak. Forgive me for never using iTunes. :suicide: [editline]oh[/editline] Wow that made no sense. And don't I need to go through those "tabs" like photos, music etc. and check the sync button and then finally sync in the bottom right. Then I create a backup IF the jailbreak should go wrong right? Actually all are on but not the "locate phone" thing.[/QUOTE] connect a mail account on your phone then download "my contacts backup" from the app store and follow the instructions. if done right, you'll back up your contacts into a .vcf file that will be sent to yr email.

But just to be sure, i just click "sync" when i right click my phone name in iTunes and it will automatically save all my music and pictures, so when i sync it after jailbreak i will get my stuff back on it?

The jailbreak shouldn't erase everything they tell you to backup just incase something goes wrong. Save your pictures to your computer (buy using windows explorer), your music is in iTunes anyway so you don't need to back that up, your apps are automatically synced up and your contacts should be synced up to an email account of some sort 98% chance nothing will go wrong, 2% chance it will. Jailbreaking in my experience hasn't fucked anything up

After that i reinstalled my PC (encountered crashes) and now I wan't to sync because i need to jailbreak. BOOM. That shit. [editline]oh[/editline] My friend just jailbroke his device, cydia showed up and it is loading. But when the jailbreak was done he got an error code with something called "lockdownd". We just closed it up and cydia was there. Problems? Plus he actually kept EVERYTHING on his device when he jailbroke it, we did not DFU or shut down the device at any point (iPhone 4). So everything works? I feel secure on me jailbreaking now but still.

Is this stupid? If not how, and waht repo would be the best choice. Asking for his side. I really don't care all that much unless all the good stuff costs.

I haven't added repo's yet to my iPad, but Cydia will normally popup with a warning if the repo has been flagged because it's malicious or buggy I don't know I've gotten it once. I guess if you google around for some repo's and try your luck, just make sure that the jailbroken apps work with your iOS, they'll normally say "iOS4+" which obviously means it works for iOS 4 and 5. Some may work a specific iOS version type, just lurk.

That thread is gone? I am looking for some cool themes (winterboard) and lockscreen edits like 2 finger to unlock and change the looks. Basically customization. Can you link me to any place or give me names of good themes?

And how do i change the slider, the theme not just the text.

The repo for ac!d siri is down or something, I cannot get my Cydia to connect to it. Could also be my flaky work internet :v:

Well I can't connect to the repo at all, nor the website that hosts it, and clearly I have a working connection now, so I guess it's just down.
