• Becoming admin on school laptop?
Not true. If you're going to do anything malicious, you have to set yourself up. My friend brought in his laptop (now mine) and we used cain and abel to just sit and monitor shit. We ended up getting over 500 user accounts and passwords, 100 of which were teacher/security/IT/whatever. Unfortunately, we forgot to spoof MAC addresses. They found out, but the day they called me in they asked for my laptop, and the laptop I had on me at the time was a Tecra 730CDT from like 1994. Needless to say, they didn't bust us because the computer had no MAC address at all, it was too old. But if you are gonna do malicious things... A) Plan hard, plan well. Most school IT's don't know what they're doing, but they're quick to see if something's wrong. B)Always have a plan B. C) If you do happen to get caught, have fallback evidence that proves "innocence." That's my three cents.
Wow, you're going to call my story bullshit, and yet you don't know the details? I left the room without locking my computer (I thought I did, but i didn't hit enter after hitting Ctrl+alt+del i guess.) to go film a movie for our website creation final, and he opened up the program from his flash drive. My teacher didn't see this due to the gigantic printer blocking the view. I knew the fucker too. He opened the command prompt and then did whatever he did. They can't tell me due to confidentiality. He didn't cause any havoc, but it was at the end of his senior year, so there was no point in punishing him. Just for a future word of advice, learn all of the details of the story before calling bullshit.
Try this to open up cmd,
@echo off color 2 title cmd :A set /p input= %input% goto a
Opens cmd. You can remove the color if you want.
2. The laptops aren't free
How exactly did you get the laptops from the school? Did you have to buy them yourselves (or give them the money for it)? If so, that obviously isn't right, and you should do whatever you can to return yours and buy one for your own.
Right, they aren't free. I have to pay for them with my tax dollars.
You are a dumbass and nobody thinks you're funny. Have you tried accessing command prompt by making a batch file with "command.com"? It's the simpleton's way and it works on computers at my school.

I never got suspended when I fucked with my School's computers, rather they paid me to help them with their shitty security and I now have a part-time job in the IT offices :v:
I was able to install something on my school computer by using autoit, it was a really shit protection.
Use batch files instead of command prompt. That's what I do on my school computers. Also good luck installing a new firefox, but if you look around Mozilla's FTP site you can still find a .zip of Firefox 1, which is still better than IE.
You guys are lucky, we just have to use computers, no free laptops :frown: However, everyone thought I was a l33t hax0r when I used javascript in the Firefox's adress bar to make a little quiz :buddy:

If you want to play games buy your own computer. A lot of money goes into those programs and they've given you the benefit of the doubt. You're already trying your damndest to fuck it up?

That's not going to happen
"Oh gee, someone is trying to gain administrative priviladges in a laptop! We must stop giving the students laptpops because of this!" That's not going to happen
Yes it is. That happens all of the fucking time. [editline]04:03PM[/editline] You fuck with their network and they aren't so keen on providing you with those tools anymore.
Yes it is. That happens all of the fucking time.
"Someone cheated on a test! We must stop giving the student's tests so this doesn't happen again!"
"Someone cheated on a test! We must stop giving the student's tests so this doesn't happen again!"
Are you going to one of those special schools or something?
Are you going to one of those special schools or something?
No
You're sure? The words "Special Needs" aren't anywhere in your school?
You're sure? The words "Special Needs" aren't anywhere in your school?
I'm not sure, I can't read yet wait...
i im GOAN SPECIL SCOOLS
Lankist has gotten stupid lately.
No he's being sensible.
You fuck with their network and they aren't so keen on providing you with those tools anymore.
Wait, did you mean that they're going to remove the laptops from everybody or only from me? I thought that you meant from everybody
"Someone cheated on a test! We must stop giving the student's tests so this doesn't happen again!"
Fail analogy. A more appropriate one would be 'Oh, my students got onto my computer and modified my test. I guess we should take back all the tests and re-administer them when we fix the problem.'
"Oh gee, someone is trying to gain administrative priviladges in a laptop! We must stop giving the students laptpops because of this!" That's not going to happen
It's a fucking privilege to be given laptops to use. You abuse it, you're gonna lose it. Stop being a greedy fuck and live with the fact that you can't install games on it.
If you want to play games buy your own computer. A lot of money goes into those programs and they've given you the benefit of the doubt. You're already trying your damndest to fuck it up?
He did buy the computer.
He did buy the computer.
Not really. The school rents them out for less of the cost.

And I thought that he meant that the school would take ALL of the laptops away, which just won't happen because of one fuck-up. Of course they would take MY laptop away (for a few months/weeks at least, school policy)
Again, I don't want to install games. And I thought that he meant that the school would take ALL of the laptops away, which just won't happen because of one fuck-up. In other words, don't try.
If you can't figure out how to bypass it by yourself you're probably liable to fuck it up else where and get it taken away. In other words, don't try.
I've tried everything that I could think of, without the ability to run exes or bats it's not that easy. And I'll add that in S4 the laptops get "unblocked", and you can run exes. A friend's brother has Age of Empires 2 in his laptop [editline]03:37PM[/editline] And to all of the people saying that I shouldn't do it and it's to risky, I appreciate the concern, but I really want to know if I can do it/How to do it. If I mess up, it's going to be MY fault.
If nobody is going to tell me how to become an admin, can anyone at least tell me how to be able to launch exes or something? For the portable apps?
