There's nothing wrong with it.
me-"I want one of these 2 apples. Which one is better?"
"Plant an apple tree, then you'll get more for your money"
me-"Umm, no, which one of these apples are better, I just want one"
"PLANT AN APPLE TREE, YOU'RE SO STUPID, GAWD!"
guy-"The second one is better"
me-"Thanks." *buys apple*
You get it? No? Well, too bad.

The specs for this computer are IN BETWEEN "Recommended" and "Ideal". I played Gmod on a computer similar to the one I'm buying. IT. WORKS.
Apples would be a bad analogy for it. If we were acting according to your analogy, we'd be asking you to buy a computer manufactoring factory.
A better analogy would be... a cake. Sure you can go out and buy a cake, but you can also bake one yourself, save money in most cases and get a kick out of doing it.
I know from experience owning and having friends owning MOBOs with those integrated graphics chips that you will have trouble playing OB games

Yeah, cake works too, if you read my above post you'll see that I took the apples thing into applesauce to create a functional analogy.
if OP's as bad at building computers as he is at making analogies then he shouldn't be using a computer at all, he'd probably rip out the insides when attempting to push the power button
I'm not going to be playing games like Crysis, and the computer's specs are within the in between area of recommended and ideal system requirements for Half Life 2 episode 2.
Also, does building a computer mean waiting for it to arrive by mail?
[editline]12:23PM[/editline]
The computers my friends have are with integrated. Looks fine to me.
neither of these computers can run orange box games reasonably.
Hamster's right, your analogy makes no sense in context to this thread. Here is a more accurate one:
You: "I like applesauce and I want to buy one of these two overpriced shitty brands of apple sauce."
Us: "You know, if you just buy apples, it's really easy to make applesauce that's a whole lot cheaper, and you can customize it to exactly how you like to eat your applesauce, like how much sugar to use and how tart the apples taste."
You: "No, you guys suck, I'd much rather buy some shitty overpriced store applesauce because if I made it myself it would be too much work and I don't want tasty, cheap, and rewarding to make applesauce."
I love you and your delicious analogy.
I love you and your delicious analogy.
Thanks, I figured I'd make a few people hungry for applesauce. If you went to your kitchen and made applesauce after reading that, your get double the D.I.Y. points. :3:

I am at work... no applesauce here. But come 12 I'm going home and making applesauce on the grand old lunch-break.
If you're just gonna play Source games and think you have disposable cash to save you from the effort of assembling one, then fine. Problem is that if you ever want to modify the PC for other uses, you're stuck.
You can't buy a bad PC once and expect to be able to upgrade it later if you want to, it simply doesn't work. The motherboard in prebuilt computers may make you unable to upgrade your RAM (either they have a low max capacity or too few memory slots) or run extra hard drives, or the power supply unit will be too poor to support a new graphics card. I went through this myself, and I'm cursing myself for not building myself. You'll be forced to buy a brand new computer again next time you want to upgrade, and then it will be the same circus all over again.
OP's gonna get mad FPS in MS Word.
Seriously build your own.
neither of these computers can run orange box games reasonably.
system requirements disagree...
and so do I. -currently on new computer-
Honestly, the second one is a good deal if you don't plan on upgrading at all.
Building it yourself would probably cost more in a situation like this, when you have to factor in OS and such, though you'd get better quality parts, but you wouldn't care about quality anyway.

system requirements are utter bullshit
wow both of those are awful
Next time don't ask for help in the fucking PC Building section.
next time don't ask for help

Here's something. DON'T ANSWER.
[editline]02:09PM[/editline]
Not really. If they were, it'd be false info, which the developers would lose money over.
Again, thanks for the people who told me what I wanted to hear, I'm having fun on my games now. To the dumb asses who kept saying "build it":
If you see someone ask you NOT to say that, ignore the thread and move on unless you actually want to tell the person what they want to know. You may be trying to help by telling me to build a computer so I'll get more for my money, but that's not what I want.
So, I hope you enjoyed wasting your time, because I didn't ask you to; you chose to.

You'd figure people who build pcs know what is better between two models. Which you do, right? So, me coming here is pretty legitimate.
[editline]02:11PM[/editline]
wow both of those are awful
What may be awful to you is X10 better than my old pc to me.
Enjoy your choke running L4D on minimal settings
Enjoy your overpriced, underpowered prebuilt rig of dead end upgradability.
And when It comes to upgrading, dont come crying to us that your OS doesnt work with your new motherboad. Cause youll need a new one for any upgrade.

and I quote myself 2 posts ago: "dead end upgradability" kinda already mentioned that one.
