Did some BIOS tweaking. Managed to cut down the power-button-to-welcome-screen time to 50s.
Welcome-screen-to-Firefox time is still 5-6s.
6 seconds to boot and log in.
About 4 or 5 seconds with Arch.
12.5 seconds.

Where do I get my hands on a bloody EFI motherboard. I read somewhere that fairly new motherboards support EFI and are just waiting for the manufacturers to release an update so you can flash it to EFI, don't see how that could work but that's google for ya.

1 minute and 1 second according to soluto, but soluto takes 8 seconds to boot, so in truth my system takes 53 seconds to load.
