I'm looking to rent a VPS, I just want something a bit more powerful than a raspberry pi. Any recommendations for €10-20 a month? Preferably in the Netherlands or at least Europe.
I've got a dedicated Atom box for like 12€ a month or something through OVH in France, it's been fine for me.
Holy shit, Firefox is loads faster!

Thanks for the recommendations, I think I'm going with RamNode. Anything I should look out for? Also, I've currently got a domain at GoDaddy, which I'm planning to use with the VPS - how would that go?

I got my domain from http://www.name.com/ and I am quite pleased.
Why GoDaddy of all the options you had.
When I first got my site someone else got it for me, he had a friend who owned a web hosting company so he could host it for free, and my friend bought the domain at GoDaddy. Should I transfer? I don't know shit about this stuff.
Holy shit, Firefox is loads faster!
Yeah, definitely much faster than I remember it being. It's also incredibly easy to match with your GTK theme/GNOME shell. I swapped back over to Numix, and with a few tweaks, Firefox looks like a native app:
I got my domain from domain.fi, very happy with my choice. Mostly because you can't get .fi domains from anywhere else.

Firefox on Linux works great with Unity, but you can make it look more like the Windows version if the file bar's taking up space. View > Tool Bars > Menu Bar. And you better be using some good extensions if you're using GNOME. Well, not like there's much choice in them. I'll recommend some. Heck, what version are you even using? I'm stuck on 3.6 and 3.10 recently came out. Places Status Indicator - Puts a folder icon next to the Activities button similar to Places in GNOME 2. Maximus - Undecorates maximized windows. Window Options - Adds window controls to the "App Menu". Great if you're too lazy to drag the window off to unmaximize or go to Activities to close.
What kind of tweaks? It looks like you straight-up removed tabs.
I'm using an addon which hides the tab bar if you only have one tab. Gives me some extra space when I'm watching a video or reading something in a window.
And you better be using some good extensions if you're using GNOME. Well, not like there's much choice in them. I'll recommend some. Heck, what version are you even using? I'm stuck on 3.6 and 3.10 recently came out.
I'm on Linux Mint w/ Cinnamon, not GNOME. Although some of the addons you listed have Cinnamon 'applet' counterparts. Maximus isn't really necessary (and doesn't work on Cinnamon 1.8 anyway). The only thing that might need that extra space is Firefox, and for that I just use fullscreen mode. Rather than use a "Places" icon, I have all my frequently used folders on a Docky bar. Cinnamon also has window options built into the right click menu. One applet I just found works exactly like the W7 superbar. I wanted a list of my running apps, but Cinnamon lists your running apps with their names included, which is very messy IMO. So this thing groups them all into the icon, lists the number of windows you have open on the icon, and even shows app previews. I can fit a whole bunch of stuff on my desktop, and then there's workspaces if I ever need more. I'm done distro hopping and reinstalling for now, so this is what my setup will look like for awhile, plus or minus a few tweaks: [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/215991327/desktopexample.png[/t]
Damn that's a lot of stuff, but I actually like it.

Thought you were still using GNOME since that screenshot you posted a few pages back. I'll be checking out that Firefox plugin.

It was cheaper to move a domain over to namecheap than start paying for DynDNS.
Probably gonna buy some cheap laptop and get Linux on it, problem is. Which kind of cheap laptop is great with Linux, I don't just want to get any computer (had some problems with ATI as far as I'm aware) - Want to get it for working, but occasionally use it for other stuff as well. Any recommendations?
How cheap is cheap?
I don't really have a budget but with logic its not gonna be Alienware expensive :v: Just anything where price and hardware is great!

Where is Ethernet port? Where's the mic port?
Not enough USB ports. Where is Ethernet port? Where's the mic port?
I got the Asus Zenbook prime. It has no Ethernet port, and only 2 USB3 ports. But it provided an ethernet adapter by default for free, and I got a cheapo USB switch. Never really had a problem or a situation where I used more than 2 USB ports.
