Fuck it, I'd rather have the desk space.
This? (Dell 3007WFP-WC)

Or This: (Acer 120hz)

That is kind of what I meant by world peace.

Also, That acer reminds me of Gordon Freeman. Now I want to tape a crowbar onto my monitor and have my plushy headcrab sitting on my PC.
I'd take the Dell. The base on the Acer looks like that ricer deceptacon case they made, and I'm positive the quality is nowhere near the quality of any of the 30" Dells.

I take it Dell monitor quality =/= Dell computer quality?
Dell makes some of the best quality LCD monitors around.
the acer is also interlaced when viewing 3D, it's supposedly one of the crappier 3D capable LCD monitors
Yea I'd get the Asus one, but I'm probably gonna just get the Asus 120hz instead of a 2560x1600 monitor, on which my games would all get raped.

I would go ahead and grab it honestly. Everywhere I go people are praising it as one of the best.
Also, how the fuck can UPS take three days to get something to me that's only two hours away?
why are you having it shipped anyway just go get it or have him bring it to you
assuming you're talking about that CRT that is
[editline]13th December 2010[/editline]
oh and when I bought my case I bought it from a company that was about 45 minutes away from where I live
they would not let me pick it up for "safety" reasons, and it took 3 days to get here.

No I was talking about my VG236HE.

Yea but at 600 dollars more, and a Massive Framerate loss, it seems like its not the best option.
Well we'll just see how the 6990 does on 2560..
Not to mention next year, I'm spending 2000 on a PC, selling my current one in a few months, Because I'm not satisfied with the setup... Wish I wasn't such a geek, but what ever.
I love High Framerates, so 120hz monitor is great for that. Specifically when my game is actually getting 120fps.

It shipped the 11th, which I know is weird but whatever. It's only two hours away.
UPS might ship on Saturdays but never is the package in transit on a Sunday. in fact even Saturday is very unusual, not unheard of however. so Sunday doesn't count, in fact if you look at the package tracking, did it even move on sunday?
every time I ordered off newegg nothing ever happened on Sundays when I tracked them

The monitor actually arrived at the two hour mark Sunday but it hasn't moved since. The 570 has been in transit to the two hour mark since Saturday.
Alright, I finally got my ASUS monitor, and to be honest I'm not entirely impressed. I really should have gone way out of my way to review side by side monitors. 120hz in 2D is really really nice, If a game is running at 120 fps then it ends up producing natural motion blur and in game fabricated motion blur becomes redundant, I like that.
When I got to using the 3D the first thing it did was hurt my eyes. Unlike my 65", this thing couldn't have depth turned all the way up or else it becomes an eyesore. Not only that but some of the alternate frames seem to bleed into the other eye. If you know how the whole Nvidia 3D shindig works you would understand it when I say a ghost of the right image can be seen from the left eye and vice/versa and that becomes really annoying. This doesn't happen on the 65" DLP. When playing games in dark area, the sides of the screen have that thing going on where the sides are brighter than the center of the screen, I don't know the term for that, but it's extremely worse on this than my older 2D only ASUS monitor.
As a 2D monitor, it's excellent, 120 frames per second on this thing is amazing and natural motion blur is definitely better than motion blur games make on their own. But for a 3D monitor, I suggest all of you either do some side by side comparisons of your own, or just wait until 3D monitors become better over time.
Um... Ghosting hasn't been an issue with LCDs since the 90's... I have a 16ms 1024x768 LCD, and still see no ghosting or anything in games.
