Thanks, yes I will. I got no plans to do trackpad gaming
Thanks for the advice, but I already have a maxed pc at home and I defenately won't be upgrading it for atleast a year, I'd like to get a good run out of my 2 5970's and etc before I trash them.
Cool, figured that that was the reason. It's simply that sometimes people come in asking for a gaming laptop (though I know you stated in the OP that you knew that a desktop would be better value) without having a clue about desktops, and therefore some of us are pretty accustomed to ask about that first. But yeah, if I had dual 5970, I would probably spend my money on a laptop or a couple of screen as well, but I guess you're doing eyefinity already.
Asus G73-SW A1. It's what I have, and it's awesome.
Pepper;32881571']Alienware laptops suck really REALLY hard Their build quality is abysmal, their hinges creak, the cooling is so shit that the board practically MELTS from the heat, and to top it off massively overpriced. My suggestion? an asus laptop. [editline]21st October 2011[/editline] Also gaming laptops tend to have the battery life of about ten minutes.
Disregarding the politics behind laptops I had an M11x and the build and cooling was superb. Alright, I got the first batch and the hinges were designed to fail, but Dell put on the fixed newly designed screens regardless if you had warranty or not.
For £3000 you could build the mother of all PC's. Unless you have a seriously good reason to get a laptop, go for a desktop.
So far I've found a great supplier for a laptop with 1 580m and etc which is pretty much what I'll probably get. But I've also been searching a hell of a lot for a laptop build with 2 580m's in sli that has a site in the uk and have had no luck. If anyone could help me find a laptop with 580m sli in the UK (not a site that ships to uk, but one actually in the uk) it would be awesome. also disregard alienware as it seems to be £1000 more than most other sites that I have compared it with, for less warranty, lower powered cpu etc ...
