what gets better performance, tf2 on osx or windows?
Honestly, my Macbook runs it well. And with the resolution makes it a lot more crisp. I won't lie, I play TF2 on my Windows7 partition. But, would rather you get a PC. You can get one with way better specs for less.
The way I see it is. Really look into Mac as an alternative system to a say a gaming PC. If you do a lot of graphic design, photography, website design, etc.. Then I personally recommend a Mac. They are reliable and OSX runs a lot of this software really well.
Just wouldn't recommend it for gaming, not that it doesn't run certain games well. Just that it almost seems redundant that you would pay this much for something solely for gaming. Although aesthetically nice, and the hardware is pretty decent. For gaming you can get so much more for your dollar.

Though, when Adobe bench marked Photoshop, it ran better on a windows 7 PC than on a Mac with the same specs.
My laptop isn't in that price range at all. I picked it up for 5400DKK while the basic white Macbook is ~7000 if you find it on sale.
Yeah thats the rounded corner one, which is ugly as hell.
Got the same VAIO as you btw. :D

Sony VAIO Z series are MBA killers. Weighing 1 kilo, made from carbon fiber. SSDs, i7 SB etc. Costs around the same as the 17 ".
But you can always go for the VPCZ21V9E. :v:

Above all... no full screen
Some guy I know wants a Macbook as well, and tells me I'm dumb when I ask for reasons for why he wants it.
He plays Runescape. And that's basically all he does with his current laptop. :downs:
srsly put your hard aerned money on a real pc gamin system instead.

Source?
Get an Intel laptop, download Hackintosh and a boot CD, install Hackintosh, dual boot W7 and OS X 10.6
I say get a Mac book pro. Since you can browse the web, do school stuff. And when you are hungry, just flip it over and crack an egg. :v:

get smcfancontrol and set all fans to MAXIMUM SPEED
I bought the Macbook and I love it, it feels very stable and isn't slow like Windows laptops can be.
I'm running 10.7 and i don't get why everyone is whining about how slow it is?
They might just be whining because it's slower than 10.6. As long as you're fine with it and it isn't causing a major slowdown, I'm sure we'll live
No, you should not. However, if you have that extra money get yourself a desktop and perhaps buy a net book.
