I still reckon the HTC One only having two buttons is really counter intuitive. I'd rather have a least three buttons that way I don't have to type in morse code to open stuff up.

But however would they fit their logo in with 3 buttons you can't just make them compromise like that.

Seeing as the my Evo 3D's capacitive keys also work as a touchscreen (I can scroll below the actual screen and it'll continue to scroll) I bet someone can/will come up with a hack to make the logo work as a key.
I agree though, 3 keys would be better.

I know that my muscle memory would dislike it, but people that use iOS devices wouldn't have a problem because the home button works the same as an iPhone.

And I'm 99% sure that once kernel source drops people will be making kernels with three button mods.
320kbps MP3s are perfectly fine compared to FLAC.
Although I don't really care much for music quality in the first place.
Yeah. 320MP3 is already good enough.

This "hack" will require you reprogram the firmware that was written inside of the touchscreen controller IC as a start. In another words, it's most likely impossible.
[editline]23rd March 2013[/editline]
Though it would be a nice feature to have the HTC logo as a separate button though

What the fuck? No. HTC has usually defined their capacitive buttons as areas of x-y coords.
[editline]23rd March 2013[/editline]
People have made "capacitive" buttons that don't exist as an icon on the bottom row before, it can be done again.
What the fuck? No. HTC has usually defined their capacitive buttons as areas of x-y coords.
I'm not entirely sure, but if I scroll beyond my screen I can continue to move down. Only works with the stock ICS roms though. So its been done before?
Is the difference between a FLAC and a decent MP3 that noticeable? If I needed my music to play using less resources I'd use a lighter file format
Of course it is and I'm not asking for a debate over FLAC vs MP3, I'm asking for a more efficient FLAC player.

Yeah, but you're not tapping and releasing on the button. Both have to be done to count as a button press.

You can easily modify the function (in your case, remove) of a capacitive or physical button by editing certain system configuration files (I forgot what they were). That's a completely different story.
However, it's nearly impossible to define new buttons on regions that were previously unassigned because those regions are disabled on a very low software level or even on the hardware level that one cannot easily access/modify.

Have fun precision pressing to use your shortcuts.

It's not hard. I run a modified version of the same theme.

I guess it really depends on what phone you have. It'd be easy on a Note, hell on a Wildfire.

I'm not sure it will work with the tutorial, but Apex Launcher is very similar to nova in basic features and vanilla android style.
How the fuck do I buy a google developer account.
When I try it asks for my postal code and phone number, but I live in Ireland so we don't have postal codes so It always says I need a postal code and when I put one in for Britain it says my phone numbers not valid so how do I do this?
EDIT
Ah I fixed it

You overestimate the wildfire
You're not running Android 4+ on your Wildfire, are you? Apex/Nova need that IIRC.
You're not running Android 4+ on your Wildfire, are you? Apex/Nova need that IIRC.
Again, you overestimate the Wildfire
It can only run up to 2.2.1 Stock, 2.3.7 if you use Cyanogenmod 7
Yeah, I'm just saying that it'll be impossible to run those two launchers on a Wildfire because the system is too old.
Or you can probably get one of those "What's not working? YOU TELL ME!" not-even-half-assed ROMs. Then it'll work. Right before your phone becomes a black hole and kills us all.
But what exactly happens when you install a custom launcher to your homescreen? Does the menu get also changed? Wow, now facepunch says my C6 is an iOS device.
being the techy guy in my clique/class, many have asked me which >4 incher phone is the best
[Xperia Z, HTC One, S4, Z10]
In summary, i told them that overall, i believe HTC One is the best.
-5 inch not for everyone
-its 4.7 inch + 1080p is awesome
-close to top specs
-solid build
-32GB right outta the box
-only thing i am skeptical of is the 4mp camera and its ultrapixel thingy. will wait for andantech to post their detailed review.
I know the S4 dominates with the specs and the overall features in it but i feel that some are just gimmicks. And may of my friends dislike its design too.
Z10 and Xperia Z, the former is a good attempt but the ecosystem is still lacking. For the Xperia Z, my friends are a tad skeptical about it.
Coming from a guy with an iphone 5.
Recently with CyanogenMod 10.1 I've noticed my phone crashes when playing Real Racing 3, every time I start it I will have to hold the power button until it shuts down and restarts. I also noticed a higher amount of battery usage with Browser and Display, and my phone will crash when copying large amounts of data over USB storage mode.
Galaxy S2 (I9100 International) Anyone else experiencing these problems?
But what exactly happens when you install a custom launcher to your homescreen? Does the menu get also changed? Wow, now facepunch says my C6 is an iOS device.
Which menu are you referring to? Usually, a launcher changes your lock screen (not all of them do), home screen (what you see when you press the home button), and your app drawer. They may also install some extra apps/widgets, which you can choose to use. That's my experience with launchers at least.

Well, I'll be getting a Xperia Tipo (ICS), and I hate it's application menu and homescreen. I wonder if I install one of those launchers, the menu will get changed.

And here I am using Nova Launcher without problems, yay.

Launcher replaces the homescreens and the app drawer, so yes. Some launchers combine homescreens and app drawer (ala iOS).
Configuration of the one you had before remains unchanged in case you want to go back.
