School WiFi is uncooperative for me. So many students leeching off of it. When nobody knew about it initially I was pulling 120Mbps, now I get like 3Mbps. Plus so many things are blocked, I never put my iPad or phone on my school's WiFi.
My school's wifi is pretty solid, occasionally in one area of the school it gets slow, though that's a given when you have the main entrance, a cafeteria and a Tim Horton's in the same area. I haven't run intoanything being blocked, you could even torrent though they throttle it a bit. The only inconvenience is that you need to sign in with your regular college username + password once a week.

Doesn't matter since I'm always on LTE but its just annoying because if it didn't suck I wouldn't have to be.
So, what's your opinion with the current attempts to legislate against "Augmented Reality Heads Up Displays" after the unveiling of Google Glass? Several cities have already passed laws banning them from coffee shops and bars, others from public parks and facilities, and others from use during driving. Personally, I think it's a bit stupid. Stalling progress because of privacy concerns... In a public area. It's counterintuitive and ignorant, in my humble opinion... But I want yours. Because I, Talos Stormcrown, love you! *I don't actually love you, just so we're clear.
It's not illegal in lots of countries to take pictures of people without consent, because by going out in public you're basically giving up some aspects of privacy. So I agree, it's ridiculous. However, if a restaurant or bar wants to prohibit them I wouldn't complain because that'd be the owner's decision and if I didn't like it I could eat elsewhere.

When you're in the public you really don't have privacy and there is no way to enforce it so there is no point. But if you're on private property and the owner says you can't do something, then you simply can't do it. It's their property, not yours, you have no right to invade the privacy of their home or business establishment.
Hey guys. Me and my friend just finished our first application for a college project. It's a guitar tuner called EasyTune. Anybody mind giving it a download and proving some feedback on it? As far as I know it fully works, however rescaling may not work fully yet, I haven't tested it on any devices other than an S2 and S3. Cities who try to outlaw it will find themselves in appeals court. If a business owner wants to ban them (bar owner, movie theatre, etc.) this should be allowed, as it is within the owners rights. And I'll keep my devices off when I'm driving when the cops close their fucking laptops. The police shouldn't be encouraged to look up license plate numbers at 70 mph anymore than I am. It's a matter of civil liberty. So basically, no. The government needs to sit down and shut up. If a business owner has a problem with glass, let them handle it themselves. [editline]25th March 2013[/editline] Where driving is concerned, there's also a slippery slope issue. It's not hard to go from no Glass, to no phones at all, to no radio, to no talking. It's one of those unenforceable things, almost bordering on thought crime.
Hey guys sorry to just jump in like this without reading the rest of the thread but I'm in kind of an hurry. I just posted the following question to Reddit's nexus7 section hoping to get some help but it apparently got down-voted/hidden immediately Also I apologize if this thread is purely for software, if that is the case I shall create a separate thread.
My Nexus 7 doesn't charge as slowly as yours, even with the official charging cable, I think there's a problem.

I'm sure the warranty covers that.
Son of a bitch. [t]http://puu.sh/2nUeH[/t] Why would the fucking desktop app work fine but not the mobile one?
Dear god the interface why how many centuries old is that

If they ask not to, you could stop or continue, it's all up to you. If you're in a private location such as someone's house or a store, that's different. It's private property and they may ask you not to take photos, etc. and they can even get you off the property.

Sup guys, just wondering if there's any way to unlock my phone/tablet through a voice command? I looked it up but all I found were some Dragon ID stuff that isn't even released.
You bought some shitty cables son. Get real ones.
That's the whole point of my asking, to find out what are "real" cables. Honestly I have no idea where to buy. Google doesn't sell replacement chargers or cables in the UK from what I can see.
Okay so I found a cheap enough way of getting a Nexus 4 to Ireland. Anybody think I should get a different phone or will I be happy with this? This is coming from a S2 user.
