420 TASKER FAGGOT
[editline]30th March 2013[/editline]
That's the second commandment of the Nexus warrior creed.
Question: does anyone have a working copy of do not disturb (silent at night while the screen is off) in new tasker?
I got it working the first night but then it didn't work the next night

Next time someone says "BUT POLYCARBONATE IS BETTER" I have to show them this link.
How do I enable emoji keyboard on Jellybean?
What app do you guys use for reading QR codes? I used to use Qr Barcode Scanner, but it used its own browser, and wouldn't let me copy the URL, so now I use QR Droid, but I don't like the lack of Holo...
barcode scanner. Been around since the early days of android.
I use the one built-in into the Search thingie that Google has.
Menu button, search with camera, point at QR code.

I use bacon reader and I like it, should I switch?
that depends, do you want to be a true android holo warrior?
jokes aside, I like reddit sync the best, and a major update is coming very soon.
I'll check it out.
I agree with Cole on this one, it's a great client as is, and with the upcoming V8 update it will introduce Synccit support.

HTC/Verizon apparently retires the Droid DNA

As if people need more reasons to buy carrier independent phones.
I like Reddit News more than Sync
The new RN does seem pretty good, although I still dont like the swiping between webpage and comments view of a post.
Has anyone tried the Foxhound ROM for i9300? Or could recommend a good ROM? Been using Paranoid Android for the last few months, but I haven't really used any of the DPI tweaks.
Just ordered this case and a new Micro USB cable.

Never knew xda users made cases. Jesus Christ that thing is ugly.
I'm planning on getting a new phone with a 2 year contract from Verizon, and I only have about $100 to spend on the actual phone. Would the Razr HD be the best choice out of the bunch?
There is also the fact that I'm tempted to get the HTC 8x. Windows Phone 8 looks sexy and I love the 8x's design.

Except Verizon is a CDMA carrier so you can't buy carrier independent phones. The only real option for BYOD in the US has been AT&T, and with T-Mobile rolling out 1900MHz and more phones adding AWS, they're one as well.

I know that, but they're intentionally driving people away from their network with actions like these.

Android users have been dealing with poor software support with regards to updates since...well since the beginning. Four months is a short time to be on sale, but if it still gets updates for another year or so it'll be the same as any other Android device. I don't know if it'll get updates but Verizon removing it from sale doesn't necessarily mean it'd also be dropped for future software support. Just look at the Thunderbolt which was dropped in April of last year, but got Ice Cream Sandwich last month.
Turns out that I managed to prevent my Galaxy S3 random-rebooting every hour... by putting it in power saving mode
(turns out they really improved power saving since the S2, now it's just choices for underclocking the CPU, capping the framerate to 30, and disabling haptic)
Apparently Samsung fixed the sudden death for the S3's in the most recent firmware update, except that for some phones, it replaces the sudden death by random reboots out of the ass. My phone got that. :v:
Supposedly it's gonna be entirely fixed with the next update.
fingers crossed, i guessed

Do they know what about the firmware was killing the devices? I know with the i9000M on Bell had an issue with the Froyo update way back where it would kill the internal SD.
