While in the hotel room, I groggily got up in the morning, and knocked my con badge and phone on the floor. The top of the phone bounced, and landed. Still works fine.
Anandtech's review of the One is apparently close to finishing.
So... close...

Definitely, but now it's a question of how well HTC follows through with support. If they make another flagship this year they can't have it compete with the One, it has to be in another category (either 4.3" small phone or 5.5"+ large phone). And they can't screw up next year either.

I'll be passing on the One until I see what their support is like. Key Lime Pie or whatever, if you can't get it on an HTC One 2-3 weeks after it launches, I'll just pass until there's a real flagship Nexus or a phone from another vendor that gets very timely updates.

AFAIK 4.2.2 should be rolling out in the same timeline as when the Verizon DLXPLUS launches, probably can expect the next version after that within 1-2 months.
I wonder what the big new features of 5.0 are gonna be
Don't know if anyone posted it, but Facebook Home is a launcher.
Well, it's on the Myst, so it's basically Sense 4.5 that got attacked by a mutant facebook app.
But they think it'll be compatible with other devices.
Android Police (?) did the APK teardown.
So yeah.
Facebook launcher.
April 4th.

They basically need to price the thing at below 300 USD to make it move.
Pfft. If anything Google is the one who has it out for other companies. They completely destroyed email on other platforms compared to Android by dropping Activesync support. Oh and how about Google Maps not working properly on Windows Phone's IE10 for technical reasons that were magically resolved when they got a plethora of complaints about it being disabled?
Google isn't supporting Microsoft's platforms, why is Microsoft going to work hard on supporting Google's platform?
[editline]2nd April 2013[/editline]
What about it is functionally crippled? The app is visually the same from what I can see on the App Store, Google Play, and the Windows Phone Marketplace.
[editline]2nd April 2013[/editline]
Ah, looking at the reviews I see people saying some games have features only for Windows/iOS devices. Well that's unfortunate for the consumer but I wouldn't put the blame solely with Microsoft(in fact I'd put most of it with Google) when Google has been actively trying to cause problems for them with app support, Google Maps support in the browser, and dropping Activesync.
Google doesn't develop Smart Glass. And as such is not responsible for what the app does.
I remember reading an article about in depth music playing analysis for phones, and they found the iPhone 4s Had the best all round sound and volume, better than the 5
I remember reading something similar. The Voodoo Galaxy S won every single award and was in a tier of its own compared to anything else.

That's ridiculous. The blame is solely with Microsoft.
So I have decided to try out swift key. My god what have I been missing, this is great.
I have a few months left on my contract with my iPhone and after reading through this and seeing what can be done to android I am considering doing the switcheroo, only problem I can see is that I still plan on using it for all my music so I was wondering how does one migrate/convert a itunes library so that it can be played on a android phone?

How is it ridiculous? You have Google working to cripple or outright remove their services from Microsoft's platform, and you put the blame with Microsoft for doing the same to Google with SmartGlass and Photosynth? Give me a break. It's purely retaliatory and if Google supported their services on WP8 Microsoft would put their services on Android. If you honestly think its Microsoft's fault you obviously don't get business. Rolling over and supporting a company actively trying to fuck you is not a good business strategy.
This is the second time you've responded to an argument of mine with an empty statement like "that's ridiculous" or "the carriers just do it to make more money". How about some substance if you're going to refute a statement?

Most people don't sync with Android phones, they just drag and drop music which is honestly a lot better. But if you do want it, look into Doubletwist.

Never said, implied, or mentioned anything like that. The basis of my argument is that Google creating conflict between the companies by not supporting Microsoft is what led to Microsoft not supporting android as a retaliatory measure. Business wise supporting google is just not a good decision, because then Android has Google and Microsoft services while Windows Phone just has the latter.

I don't know if iTunes still works like this, but their should be something in your C:Users/(User Name)/Music folder.
i use isyncr with itunes

Smartglass had been released before google dropped activesync support, and while I have no idea why google chose to do that, it's ridiculous and petty to not release functionality to your users, just to spite google.
Google is at fault for dropping activesync support.
Microsoft is at fault for deciding to be little babies and hurting their xbox users with android devices. This is NOT a good business decision because it makes your users turn away from xbox (smartglass), not android. It doesn't hurt android users that google dropped activesync, it does hurt android and xbox users that an app doesn't have the same functionality as the same app on a different platform. This in turn hurts microsoft because they're being little bitches and no one likes little bitches.
Neither do I have any idea what you're going on about with regards to "the carriers just do it to make more money".
Hello! I'm looking into upgrading from my galaxy SII, and I've been wondering about just doing it easy and get the SIII. But does anyone have any suggestions past that?
I don't really want to spend more than I would on S3 without a carrier. I'm obviously getting an android :v:
The S4 is just around the corner, I would wait for it, only 2 more weeks I think?

Is there a way to check the product description of something on Amazon after you bought it.
I got a Nexus 4 second hand and I want to see the description of it that the company gave so I can make sure there is nothing missing from it.

If I may interject here, I find it very annoying that my desktop calendar won't sync with my Google calendar, and if it were that big a deal to me, I may second guess my reliance on the Google ecosystem. Basically, this could hurt Google and Android if it drives people from the ecosystem.
And correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought Microsoft dropped all Google support in response to Google dropping activesync.

I already said google is at fault for dropping activesync, but I don't see why Microsoft has to be the little bitch that disadvantages its own users as an answer to google disadvantaging it's own users. That's just stupid as fuck, and only hurts themselves.

II understand. I don't know if Google dropped activesync just to be a bitch, though. There are tons of reasons it could've been done.

Long press the word "tilt" in the swiftkey prediction area.
Just got my Nexus 4 :D
But they didn't send me a Sim tool so I can't get the MicroSim into it.
How do I open this without a Sim tool
unfold a paperclip and stab the hole carefully. paperclip should be the same size as the ejection tool.
unfold a paperclip and stab the hole carefully. paperclip should be the same size as the ejection tool.
Simple enough :v:
Paperclip didn't work as was too hard to get a grip on it. Toothpick worked great though.
Man this phone is sexy holy fuck.
The charger I got with it is horrible as fuck though its like elastic so when my phones charging on the desk it pulls it near the edge. Sort of dodgey.
