My phone (Sony Xperia V) has started being weird. The SD card disconnects all the time, and it sometimes just becomes very warm in my pocket as if the CPU is working on something very intensive. When I check the battery graph thingie, it tells me "media" is using all the damn power. (this is what shows when I click on "media") As a result of this, the standby/idle battery time has been reduced to around 12 hours. Could anyone help me?

I am excitebike.
I really doubt my micro SD card is fucked, since it's pretty new... But, mediaserver drain bug? What is that and how do i fix it?

Try to empty your thumbnail cache using something like SD maid, I read that it's often the cause

format sd card after backing stuff up
You guys probably have corrupted file on the SD card, so the media scanner just keeps rescanning the file in a loop.
I've had worse battery life and general problems with this (at the time) top of the line galaxy S3 than I've ever had with a phone before but it's still got a beautiful camera <3
i've got the best charger ever
if i use my nexus 7 while it's charging, it's actually discharging. :v:
I think that's only if it's USB or a weak charger because AFAIK the asus charger gives more power than USB
I think that's only if it's USB or a weak charger because AFAIK the asus charger gives more power than USB
Way more power. Mine is plugged in right now. Holding steady at 64%. But I'm also putting videos on it while watching videos.
Why did whatever mong who designed the S3 make the glass camera lens stick out more than the back of the phone, so it rests on the camera lens Mines already got a few scratches on it, and I need to buy a case just so it no longer touches the table when it's sat on the back
Holy shit, /r/androidcirclejerk is going way too far with this :v: http://vocaroo.com/i/s1Lc6mGS7ZhU

Lol sense users.
Lol sense users.
Sense 4 isn't awful I have to admit. Though I eventually find myself coming back to AOSP.
Lol I meant in the audio. [editline]5th April 2013[/editline]
I have never been happier having an iphone than yesterday when the Facebook home via Android was announced. I can’t imagine too many things that would annoy me more than being that socially integrated. I’m not anti-social networking. I have a Facebook, a twitter, an Instagram, a Tumblr and even a YouTube channel. Not to mention, I’m on here. But I enjoy what I call “social control”. In other words, I control my social feeds and interactions. ...[bullshit]... My husband owns a Galaxy S3 and he claims that his students (mostly freshmen) are all leaning toward Samsung Android devices thus the end of Apple. Interestingly, when I run unofficial surveys in my classroom the sophomores do a 50/50 split between Android and Apple while the senior class is 90% in favor of the iphone. Very small segment of the population, I know, but interesting none the less. If Facebook is going the way of My Space and this Facebook thing is only found on Android devices, will the freshmen class crossover into the iphone camp? Because you and I both know if you have a Facebook account on a Android phone this thing is going to bug the heck out of you even if you don’t install it. “Would you like to install” “Install now” “Push to install” Popping up all over your home screen or your Facebook feed. It will be interesting to see what my husband’s Galaxy does considering he doesn’t have a Facebook (gasp!). Will he be harassed by installation messages and pop-ups? And who will this hurt more, Android or Facebook?
People. Like. This. "Wat is launcher? Wat is play sto? Wat is Touchwiz?" Read a fucking article every now and then, shit. Especially if you're gonna rag on something.
speaking of audio, my potato's headset can't play music properly when I use it off normal 3.5mm headphone jacks on a computer. A+ job Sony
"Popping up all over your home screen or your Facebook feed. It will be interesting to see what my husband’s Galaxy does considering he doesn’t have a Facebook (gasp!). Will he be harassed by installation messages and pop-ups? And who will this hurt more, Android or Facebook?" what huh
Someone else just said it'll be heading to iOS in the future. Do you guys think Apple will let someone make a custom launcher? [editline]5th April 2013[/editline] I don't think it's gonna happen.
tell me when swiftkey is on ios and we'll talk
