Am I only one who thinks "talk" is just a fucking beautiful name for a unified messaging system.
They should rename talk into "Google im" and call the unified messenger talk.

scrap talk, replace it with Google+ messenger then call the unified messaging thing "talk"
I hope they make it like the Accounts pane in settings and allow third parties to integrate
We talked about this before, but the Sliding messenger UI would be perfect for a unified messenger (I endorse the fuck out of that messenger app, but it's not full featured yet).
The unified messaging for Google is probably gonna be Google+ Messenger or something like that

The dev said that he probably wouldn't be able to fix the speed issues due to the nature of the loading which really put me off it
oh did anyone else see the nexus 5 leak? oh my god 16mp camera with 4k video recording, lel

It honestly sounds like a hopeful wish rather than a leak. 5.2" 1920x1080 AMOLED. Why would LG use OLED panels when it'd be costly to produce themselves, or they'd have to buy from someone else. They have a giant display manufacturing division that they can make their own LCDs with.

It would get better if he would let us limit the conversations that load again. But for some reason it works pretty well on my phone anyway.
I just need full mms capability already.

Two of my friends have Nexus 4's and they both have incredibly washed out and bland displays when compared to devices like the One X. LG probably realised this and instead of fixing their displays, they just decided to use OLED for some reason. OLEDs will either be a blessing or a curse depending on whether they can pull it off or not.
Ok, so I'm leaning to the Android central podcast about the S4, and not only is it full of gimmicks people are just gonna be turn off, it is all baked in and proprietary.
Here's the problem. They have shit like SHub and what not, and I'm positive that if they don't drop android completely, they're gonna pull n amazon and fork it so hard it doesn't matter.
Samsung is contractually bound to not create Amazon-style Android forks if they want to be able to make any Android phones at all.

Wishful thinking, and a 16MP camera is dumber than a 13MP one. The Titan 2 had incredibly noisy shots, even in intense daylight conditions.
I'm a huge noob at rooting; my previous (successful) attempt was my first time doing it. Now my Galaxy S3 keeps bugging me about a Verizon Wireless Update. I'm worried that since my phone is rooted it could brick it, or that the new update will unroot it and I'll have a hard time getting root back.
Has anyone dealt with this? Did any issues arise?

Yes, the simple answer is that you never, ever take an OTA while rooted. Flash rooted updates via custom recovery off of xda if you must.

I've heard displays are purposely undersaturated to hide Android's atrocious color rendition. It can help hide color banding. LG also simply has to use lower grade panels than other ones going into more expensive phones, it's a $300 device with small profit margins. I really can't see it being within budget constraints to make 1080p OLED panels, unless the phone is more expensive than its predecessor.

I don't want to make this guy lose root, but Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper has kept my root for 2 stock updates. Both flashed via stock recovery, one was the jump from ICS to JB.
What I'm saying is, Voodoo OTA my keep your root if you must update OTA. Check that online, first.

Usually some of the developers over on xda repack updates and they are already rooted. If you can't save your root then you should probably use those.

With those specs, I doubt the cost to buy would be anything like the Nexus 4.

Perhaps they would coexist? People like me would like a higher end Nexus device.

Poor mans Nexus 5 and a richer mans Nexus 5? I mean that could work if Google wanted it to.
So I put a new Sony stereo in my car and I'm not able to control the phone's music or see what's playing over bluetooth. Does anyone know if that's a poweramp problem or is Cyanogenmod missing something?
i'm so damn pissed at how feedly works
i import my greader, yes? but why the FUCK doesn't it show the new updates?
it keeps grabbing "Who calls the Dragon Knight?" instead of the one above it. (G-Leauge finals)

WHY?
Perhaps they would coexist? People like me would like a higher end Nexus device.
I think a really high end Nexus that would basically be the One but with no front logos and refreshed specs (S800, LPDDR3, 5" with no capacitive/low bezel, etc..) would be incredible.
[editline]20th March 2013[/editline]
No capacitive keys, I mean.
Currently fiddling around with how my nexus 7 looks, settled on ADWlauncher

anyway, I want to know should I get a custom ROM for my nexus, like everything about it to me is perfect but am I missing out on something
and are you still able to change the boot screens in Jellybean+?

on-screen buttons
I think my next phone shall be an HTC one, espsecially since it's out sooner than the s4 and my s2's screen is annoying.
Been using android phones for over three years now. The only games on Android that I liked were GTA 3 and Vice City. What are some good games for Android? Using an i9300.

Simpsons Tapped Out is fun as hell.
What was that one sort of game-shelf for lots of different emulators that was being made by someone in this thread?
It would be quite handy right about now. I hate having to open each emulator and navigate to a directory with ROMs.
