why do you use VLC? it's so limited in terms of resolution, quality, audio, and framerate. and the interface is horrid. it's easier to just convert shit over to a compatible format.
Works fantastic on my iPod Touch 4G. The desktop version is the best video player (imo), why wouldn't I use it on my mobile devices?
wow no VLC is really bad. use MPC. and it has a file width limit of 1024 pixels, that's my biggest beef with it. and like i mentioned the interface is ugly.
All the HD files I have are already H.264 in MP4s, everything else runs with VLC.
i don't need everything else to play in VLC, the default player seems to work fine. the only things that come in formats it won't play, well, need to be converted over anyway as VLC won't play them due to resolution because it's worthless. in my opinion.

As for the interface, it's nice that it's not all full of crap. And I said IMO didn't I?
inversely it isn't nice and is full of crap. and did you miss the word "convert"
*sigh* Fine, I don't really care anymore. Do whatever YOU want, but I'm gonna keep using VLC. /shinypants
and i'm not sure how you got 4" out of 3.5", but all of the iPod touches have the same screen, so i don't really see how that's actually a reason to get an 8GB model over a 32GB model.
I was mostly talking about how dumb watching films on a 3.5" screen is.
I have a 3rd Generation Ipod Touch with 8GB. I currently have Pulp Fiction and Iron Man 2 on it, along with hours of music. I still have about 2-3GB left. Unless you want to have like 10k+ songs or more than 10 movies on it, I don't see why you would need more than 8GB.
This is 3 weeks old and OP have stopped posting in it ..

HD videos take up far more space than your average digital-copyesque video.
planning on buying the 8gb too, might try and get the 32gb if I can scrawl together a little more money [editline]20th November 2010[/editline] the 32GB's only a fiver out of reach, should be easy enough to attain
