I would have to agree, my 4770 idles at 40 C. In fact, it's the coldest graphics card I've owned.
Ok ok fine it's everything else in my room that heats it up. but still, if you use a high end card like a 480 in a small office i mean... :downs: what do you expect [editline]01:50PM[/editline] that's going back to my original post...

Idk bout you guys but my rooms like 12x10ft and playing games for a while heats up my room pretty nice (with another system running for ics). here's the article. they also fixed the problem in one of the last driver releases http://www.legitreviews.com/article/1258/15/
When I and 2 friends are playing a resource intensive game in the same room it always heats up significantly.
you guys, the three of you, have shitty cases then
you guys, the three of you, have shitty cases then
And shitty fans and no concept of the word "clearance" or "Open spaces"
you guys, the three of you, have shitty cases then
Good cases keep the heat inside them right
Good cases keep the heat inside them right
:downs: good cases keep the parts from getting hot enough to warm your room
Anyone own these cards yet? How do you like them?
Anyone own these cards yet? How do you like them?
I have a GTX 470, and I like it. feels faster than my two 275s, runs "cool" and overclocks high its not loud either.
:downs: good cases keep the parts from getting hot enough to warm your room
Energy doesn't just disappear you know
Energy doesn't just disappear you know
Energy is neither created or destroyed, only converted [sp]except nuclear energy, thats created[/sp]
Energy is neither created or destroyed, only converted except nuclear energy, thats created
Wrong nuclear energy is just converter from matter to energy.
I have a GTX 470, and I like it. feels faster than my two 275s, runs "cool" and overclocks high its not loud either.
How much did you pay? [editline]11:21PM[/editline]
wait your 4770 heats up your room?
My 4850 can heat up my room. It's more or less the CRT monitor that I use as a third screen though. Fucking thing outputs so much heat.
the 4770 doesn't get very hot, at least for me. It is also 40nm..
Energy doesn't just disappear you know
Are you implying that somehow the cards become giant radiators better than most industrial-strength ones?
No, I'm saying that a case can't magically make the heat output of your card lower
No, I'm saying that a case can't magically make the heat output of your card lower
This, and a good case will pump all the heat from inside the case out into the room. It doesn't take a powerful radiator to heat a small room, with my door and window closed my room gets pretty warm even if my computer is idling.
Where do you guys live, in a closet?
Where do you guys live, in a closet?
Now that you mention it, I have seen (large walk-in) closets bigger than my room >.> [editline]09:10PM[/editline] This picture shows about a third of my room: So yeah it heats up pretty quickly.
Good cases keep the heat inside them right
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha you're the perfect smart ass except, to be a smart ass, you need to be smart, so maybe not [editline]11:31PM[/editline]
:downs: good cases keep the parts from getting hot enough to warm your room
thanks

"i was being sarcastic all along lol"
congrats on your 32,000th post M_B
"hi im M_B i disagree with laws of physics"
no matter what stupid comeback you come with, you are still wrong/dumb
"i was being sarcastic all along lol"
"lol guyz i was trolling u all along did u not understand lol!". [editline]10:13AM[/editline]
"hi im M_B i disagree with laws of physics"
Higher airflow = lower component heat = same heat being blown out, but over a longer period of time. If you keep a component at 50C, it will create heat, but it will be the same amount of heat, over a longer period of time. Instead if you try and cool off a 125C component, it will give out lots of heat over a smaller amount of time.
