Here's a few more reviews for the GTX 465.

Even with the new drivers this card is not worth the price, might as well spend 20 more and get a 5850. It even struggles to keep up with the 5830 at times.
470 is the card that Nvidia should concentrate on. It's a hell of a card.
470 is the card that Nvidia should concentrate on. It's a hell of a card.
Why? Imho 480 is the only well priced fermi at the moment. Even with the upgraded drivers its slightly underperforming against the
5870 which is only a bit more expensive
(performance-wise it almost holds tho but why would you deliberately take the louder and hotter card).
480 on the other hand is great value as it comes quite clos the 5970 which costs a lot more money.
If youve got water-cooled system then the fermis are the best choice since they have a lot overclocking capability if they are cooled properly.

Pretty much sums it all up
well the MSRP for the 480 is not lower than the 5870 so, no, the 5870 is not more expensive.

Yeah forgot to add 470 to the sentence(as in 5870>470 by a very little margin)
Sorry if I confused you :P
i hate the summer, makes everything hot, my fermi cards sit at 53-58c idle
i hate the summer, makes everything hot, my fermi cards sit at 53-58c idle
My 4850 is at 36 with 0 fanspeed.
My 4850 is at 36 with 0 fanspeed.
I don't believe this unless you have aftermarket cooler
I don't believe this unless you have aftermarket cooler
Stock cooler too.
[editline]02:30PM[/editline]
And it's WHY I don't have an aftermarket cooler.
How can you have 0 fanspeed? Isn't that like, turned off?
How can you have 0 fanspeed? Isn't that like, turned off?
Under a certain point, it automatically turns the fan off. Oh, and

I'm sure if my cpu wasn't utilized at a minimum constant of 10% it'd be cooler, since it's obvious that's what's heating it up.
At 44 c.
My 4850 is at 36 with 0 fanspeed.
That can't be right unless the card is completely off.
Or his heat sensor is malfunctioning.
That can't be right unless the card is completely off.
0% then.
Or his heat sensor is malfunctioning.
Doubt it when it matches pretty much every heat sensor in the case for the most part. Turning off morphvox pro got the cpu down to 36 as well. Well, fluctuating between 36 and 37.
My 4850 is at 36 with 0 fanspeed.
I don't even cold boot my 9800GTX that low. It idles at 60C.
If I set fanspeed to 100 after a few minutes it goes to 30.
stock cooling owns.
[editline]03:12PM[/editline]
Just hit 29 as I posted.
[editline]03:23PM[/editline]
Ok, I'm gonna try furmark on it now. xtreme burning mode, displacement mapping, post FX, 8x msaa, fullscreen 1920X1080. 10 minutes. Let's see how I do!

It went up to 59c in about 2 and a half minutes, and stayed between 60 and 61 for the rest of it. Awesome.
[editline]03:38PM[/editline]
Oh, and it's already back down to 29c.
[editline]03:39PM[/editline]
Dunno why it's saying 600 ms though.
[editline]03:41PM[/editline]

activity is 0%, your gfx card is off, otherwise there has to be more than 0% there, even for just showing your background your card has to do something.

Why are my 4890s so hot?
[editline]02:19PM[/editline]
The left one is the ASUS special 4890 with an 8+6 pin setup and special heatpipe cooler, the temperature should be a lot lower.

By any chance are you using hybrid sli?
he is using an ATI card so no, he isn't using Hybrid SLI.
he is using an ATI card so no, he isn't using Hybrid SLI.
Who the fuck cares about the terms, SLI or crossfire. What I meant is that some motherboards have integrated GPU's so you can switch between the twoto save energy and not produce as much heat.
ok enough this isn't a 4800 circle jerk club

No, I'm not.

yeah it's also out already isn't it

UNNECESSARY DICKERY.
did I make you mad?
Unnecessary, really.
yeah it's also out already isn't it
really not the point, its a great card at it's price and it almost reaches the 5870 in dx10/9 AND it beats it in DX11
Unnecessary, really.
I asked a question if he was mad, he appeared mad.
[editline]01:45PM[/editline]
it's just a question.
[editline]01:45PM[/editline]
it's hard to tell if someone is mad or not on the internet sometimes.
[editline]01:46PM[/editline]
also I'm in bad mood, very grumpy.
[editline]01:48PM[/editline]
and since you quoted me there is no point in me snipping but I'll do it anyways.
