I asked a question if he was mad, he appeared mad. [editline]01:45PM[/editline] it's just a question. [editline]01:45PM[/editline] it's hard to tell if someone is mad or not on the internet sometimes. [editline]01:46PM[/editline] also I'm in bad mood, very grumpy. [editline]01:48PM[/editline] and since you quoted me there is no point in me snipping but I'll do it anyways.
No you aint. [editline]10:48PM[/editline]
did I make you mad?
what? [editline]01:49PM[/editline] I'm confused now. [editline]01:50PM[/editline] this is going off-topic, SO BACK ON-TOPIC! I'm disappointed in the GTX 465.
This is why so many of the original respected posters left this section.
GTX 465 is disappointed in you
I can live with that.
This is why so many of the original respected posters left this section.
prismastex, r.. stats with an r.. ah yes, renzort. I think
Renzor T?

forgot about him until just now.
Reznor T, and no, he was a terrible poster and a massive fanboy.
I think Whatnow's post was supposed to be sarcastic. [editline]01:56PM[/editline] anyways back on-topic, are both the GTX 465 and 460 coming out Just 1st?

[editline]02:09PM[/editline]
anyways back on-topic, are both the GTX 465 and 460 coming out Just 1st?
still wondering about this, only seen benchmarks for the GTX 465 and nothing about the GTX 460 at all. [editline]02:10PM[/editline] seems like the GTX 460 disappeared.
Have they even said anything about 460? btw http://www.nvidia.com/object/io_1275286876492.html
http://www.engadget.com/2010/05/20/nvidia-gtx-465-detailed-ahead-of-june-1-launch-gtx-460-also-rum/ GTX 465 and GTX 460
only saw the GTX 460 mentioned here and now it's gone off the radar. [editline]02:41PM[/editline] oh wait, the GTX 460 is rumored... I thought it was launching with the GTX 465 on June 1st...
http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/blog/NVIDIA-breaks-up-with-Hardware-Secrets/174 Nice job nvidia.
Sharose: Glaber of Hardware news [editline]02:20AM[/editline] oh ye and this is why the GTX 465 is so expensive:
There's something else I want to mention here. I'm not saying you should, by all means no. But we already informed you that the PCB, packaging and GPU on both the GTX 465 and 470 are 100% similar. We flashed a GTX 470 BIOS in one of the GTX 465 cards just to see if it would work, and it ran perfectly fine. Risky yes .. the extra disabled shader clusters could be damaged. But well let's just say, keep this little story in mind.
and here is the GTX 490 thing er ye http://www.kitguru.net/components/graphic-cards/faith/gtx490-throws-down-to-5970/
Wait so you can buy a GTX 465 then flash it and have a GTX 470 for basically $80 less? [editline]10:25PM[/editline]
http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/blog/NVIDIA-breaks-up-with-Hardware-Secrets/174 Nice job nvidia.
Never even been to that website before anyway, oh well.
No, the 465 does not have the extra shader cluster. But it has everything else.
really not the point, its a great card at it's price and it almost reaches the 5870 in dx10/9 AND it beats it in DX11
yeah ok but there's no point in focusing on something that's already released, they can't just toss in a cup holder with all of the 470s here on out, or anything. [editline]10:58PM[/editline]
http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/blog/NVIDIA-breaks-up-with-Hardware-Secrets/174 Nice job nvidia.
"They must think that we are a small entity, forgetting that I am also the editor-in-chief of Clube do Hardware, the largest website about computers in Brazil, with 20 million pageviews and 7.5 million visitors per month – yes, this website is bigger than most North-American reviewing websites (all reviews posted on Hardware Secrets are also posted on Clube do Hardware)." that's not really very impressive at all to be honest [editline]11:00PM[/editline] "most north-american reviewing website" yeah alright there are a LOT of north-american pc review sites, and only a small portion of them are well known, and they happen to be VERY well known. how the hell did you even find this site, sharose? do you just sit there all day clicking through every single pc related website? or what? i haven't heard of probably more than half of the sites you get your articles from
http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/blog/NVIDIA-breaks-up-with-Hardware-Secrets/174 Nice job nvidia.
I love how the guy tries to make himself sound important. Also I do believe that ShaRose scours the internet all day searching for even the smallest thing to criticize about Nvidia (and when he doesn't find anything good he posts something like this, at least it's something, right?).
http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/blog/NVIDIA-breaks-up-with-Hardware-Secrets/174 Nice job nvidia.

They must think that we are a small entity, forgetting that I am also the editor-in-chief of Clube do Hardware, the largest website about computers in Brazil, with 20 million pageviews and 7.5 million visitors per month – yes, this website is bigger than most North-American reviewing websites (all reviews posted on Hardware Secrets are also posted on Clube do Hardware).
So... who the fuck are you guys?
Bravo on everyone missing the point. The idea of me posting that was nvidia put that site on it's blacklist effectively because they didn't say cuda/physx was awesome, even though they had to buy the card themselves and nvidia didn't do anything for them.
I know this is a stupid question but I didn't want to make a thread about it. How does Nvidia/ATI number/lettering labeling go with each set of card releases? Like, the higher numbers are better? I know it may sound like I don't know what I am talking about but it is because I can't think of the right wording for this question without making myself sound like an idiot.
AMD goes XXXX first x is the generation second defines the performance, like 5450 is low end while 5850 is high end Third is the same as second but specifies the performance in the range like 5850 is worse than 5870 Nvidia has fucked up naming policy

First number defines generation, second one performance and 3rd if they run out of numbers
When you say performance...is that like a 1-9 scale or is the number from something?
