SLi set ups don't choke at higher resolutions compared to an equivalent single card.

i love my cards so much now, they never get over 80c and idle at around 45-47c and when i do absolutely nothing but just leave it on overnight it goes down to 42-43c and on a overnight cold boot its at 37-38c.
using msi afterburner to keep the fan speeds in check.

Where 2 lower end cards in SLi = 1 higher end single card, the FPS in higher resolutions are on average better for the cards in SLi.

MultiGPU setups are notoriously inconsistent. A single GPU is going to scale 100%. Multiple GPU's might now.

260s are a prime example... they scale somewhere around 190% in SLI. that's damn good.
