Which GTX 460 should I get, I'm looking at the ones that come with Just Cause 2.
MSI Cyclone 1Gb.
Got my GTX 460 1gb in today, runs metro2033 on max settings at 1680x1050 resolution :3:
Sans MSAA
Dx11?
Yah.
Arma2 looks and runs so much better too, I might have the patience to play it again, now that I'm not running it at bad frames and it looking like ass.
Oh decisions decisions. The GTX 460 seems to be living up to everyone's expectations, and then some. But could I fit a more powerful ATi card, or wait it out and see if the prices of the other Fermis drop...

I don't see how when the GTX 480 only manages ~26 FPS maxed in DX11 with no PhysX.

I can, in the Overclockers club benchmarks, the 1 Gig Gtx 460 gets 30 fps on 1680x1050 DX 11 with PhysX off.
In the same setup, a stock Gtx 480 gets 42 fps.

Here's a link, the bench was done on the 16th.

I didn't see what drivers they were using, they may not have said, but the review is pretty recent.
Buying the Gainward GTX 460 "Goes Like Hell" edition for my friends PC build.
Can't wait to test it out on Metro 2033.

fixed
I have a somewhat old ATI card and I'm sick of it crashing all the time. What is the best Fermi card for money and performance? Suggestions please.

GTX 460 at $199.
[editline]06:04PM[/editline]
or GTX 470 at $299, they are both great cards.
The Gainward GTX 460 GLH costs about 350$ in Norway.

Well I don't know the FPS I am getting. I just know I can pretyt much run it at very high using DX11 enabled just fine with a 1680x1050 res.
I had to turn of MSAA though, if I had that on for whatever reason my framerates would randomly go to 5FPS or so when I looked in certain directions.
EDIT: Also, mine was a gigabyte 460 with it "overclocked" to be at 715mhz vs 685 (stock).

it was a really old benchmark, like 9 months old that was a preview of the GTX 4 series using really shitty drivers
My 9600GT OC has blew up after 1 year, i tried contacting BFG for a replacement but they seem to be going out of business or something. Getting no replies.
If worst comes to worst, I'll buy a new one, and the new GTX 460 looks perfect. But which one should i buy?
My specs:
CPU: AMD 6000+ X2 3.0Ghz
MoBo: M2N4-SLI
RAM: 4GB 800Mhz
PSU: ocZ 600W
OS: win 7 64bit
Thanks.

I live in the UK by the way.
The cheapest one you can get, 1GB doesn't matter over 768MB.
[editline]08:41PM[/editline]
Out of ASUS, EVGA, XFX.
Thanks, i only run in 1680 X 1050 anyways. I usually have AA as high as i can get it (Does AA effect video memory?).
Yes it does, and 768MB is fine for 1680x1050 with 32x CSAA.
Ahh great stuff.
Ohhhh god this is perfect. http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/768MB-EVGA-GTX-460-3600MHz-GDDR5-GPU-675MHz-Shader-Clock-1350MHz-336Cores-2x-DVI-mini-HDMI
Just what i need actually, very decent upgrade, in my price range and from someone i can trust(Fuck you BFG Tech).
heyyy BFG is great they're just going out of business is all, probably from giving people GTX 280s for their broken 7800 GTs.

Yeah, people are RMAing just to get free upgrades, which is probably why they went broke, and because of their lifetime warrenty.
I've been waiting 4 weeks for a reply from them, i contacted Jeff (In charge of support or something) and asked nicely what was going on about 2 weeks ago, and he said he'd sort it out for me in a few days time. Another 2 weeks gone by and still no email. Contacted him again a few hours ago, hopefully I'll get a reply.
Few year ago their support was great though, one of the best.
I have to say, BFG was probably the best GPU manufacturer up until when they started running out of money.

How is the quality of their PSU's I won a 550 watt modular at a LAN.
They're okay I guess, I can't look at specs of them to judge. Well, I'm just too lazy to look anywhere besides newegg
Anyone know if there is a benchmark of World At War with the 460?
Anyone know if there is a benchmark of World At War with the 460?
Why benchmark a old game that doesn't push a GPU? TomsHardware had a bench on MW2 and it got over 50FPS on 1980x1200 with everythng maxed. W@W will be fine.
I'm about to buy an Evga GTX 480, because it's on sale.
Anything I should consider before doing this?
