Got my MSI GTX470 from newegg the other day and so far I am loving the card. I went from a 9600GT to this. Also The card doesn't run as hot as other people had said the highest it has gotten for me is 75C with 65% of the fan running.
what, all EVGA cards come with the option to download Precision.
you don't even need an EVGA anything for Precision
Anybody know what happened to the MSI Cyclone GTX 460 1gb? I can't find it on newegg.
On another note I put in my 9800 as a dedicated physX card in another slot. My idling temperatures are now 77/67, 9800/480. That's a lot more. Funnily enough my load is the same.

Can't decide about Gainward GTX 460 1GB (GLH Version - 249€) or MSI Cyclone 1GB OC (239€). What is the better deal? I heard Gainward has fucked up hard like Palit. [editline]11:18PM[/editline] Rate me tools for the Gainward one and rate me informative for the MSI Cyclone one.

OCing it right now. Already up to 825 core/1950 mem, and still going . Currently at 900/2100/1.087 V. Haven't pushed it to its limit yet, might go back later and see how high I can go.
I got a GTX 465 Superclocked from EVGA. I overclocked it so far it beat my old 5870 in 3Dmark vantage :D
I got a GTX 465 Superclocked from EVGA. I overclocked it so far it beat my old 5870 in 3Dmark vantage :D
GTX 465? but the GTX 460 is better. And why replace a 5870 with another expensive card?

Radeon HD4850.
I am poor :( i can't afford this.
Is there any difference between these two cards other than appearance? http://www.gigabyte.com.au/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3399#ov http://www.gigabyte.com.au/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3432#ov I've tried to find differences and I can't find any really.

Would a AMD Athlon 2 630 bottleneck a 460?
Would a AMD Athlon 2 630 bottleneck a 460?
No not really.
Got my 480 yesterday, and oh boy it's amazing, crysis maxed gives 40 fps.
damn news is slow this month.
not sure if anyone mentioned this, but something i found ironic about the name fermi. dont know if you know but enrico fermi built one of the first nuclear reactors. and they use immense heat to generate electricity. and according to a crap load of reviews the 470 and the 480 are incredibly hot...

About 8-9 C hotter on load than an equivalent ATi Card. And that's when you are stupid and leave the fan on auto.

Also the name Fermi did come from Enrico Fermi, no coincidence.
Incredibly hot? About 8-9 C hotter on load than an equivalent ATi Card. And that's when you are stupid and leave the fan on auto.
The fan is like a jet engine on auto, so why would I manually put it even higher? I want to hear my damn games.

I don't know about you guys, but my GTX480 (which the hottest one) idles at 44C (and goes to 70C max under load). And it's all on stock cooling and the fan is on auto.
