The 2nd one doesn't look too bad, the pink highlights are a bit much, though.
No way in hell, also what do you have against style? a pink accent is "a bit too much"? why do you hate lights and colors? What's the hell's the big deal?
I'm not sure how this got onto colours, the whole shape and design of Alienware laptops is horrific, they are deformed piles of crap.
I give up :suicide:
I have no current laptop, but this will be mine in november:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834200286
I give up :suicide:
He's right though. The Alienware laptop, like the desktop counterparts, is ugly. The casing is obnoxiously large, the shaping looks really bland and "oh soo edgy angleZzz with ~1l£t g3m4r grills" and shit like that. And lights in a laptop case are worse than that of a PC case. It's ricer, it isn't what I could call a nice design at all. It just screams "I PAY FOR LOOKS AND AM A TOOL" when you see one.

We have the EXACT SAME COMPUTER. I like Macs for laptops because they are durable, and for me, last a long time. I need a laptop that is sturdy and reliable. I don't play games on my laptop, thats what a Desktop is for. This one is going to last me a couple more years!
My friend needs some advice for a laptop, so far he likes what he sees in the Acer Aspire 5742G, does anyone have any better suggestion?

I got the aluminum models when they first came out so mine is pretty old, might replace it once I get some money to actually do that.
Rumor mill claims a total rework of the MBP is just around the bend along with iMac and Mac Pro reworks.
Awesome.
MacBookPro Mid 2010 Version
That looks ridiculous.
That looks ridiculous.
Yup, but it looks handy.
Awesome.
What is nice is the rumor mill might be right for once. Its been a year since the Mac Pro got an update so that is due for a revamp and 1/2 a year since the MBP got an update so that is due for an update. My guess the new version will hit just before the Holidays or a few months after.
That looks ridiculous.
Yeah but they're useful as hell.

Well, it's a tossup between my Acer AspireONE A150 netbook: 1.66Ghz Intel Atom 120GB HDD 1GB DDR2 Intel GMA 945 8MB 8.9" screen Or the old Dell Latitude D610 I have: (not my picture) 2.0Ghz Intel Pentium M 40GB HDD 1GB DDR ATI Mobility Radeon X300 64MB 14.1" screen I'm hopefully getting a modern laptop for university later this year. Lately I've been using the Dell more because of the bigger screen and the fact that it doesn't lag to shit on youtube videos. I had to reformat it to Linux and only just got the CDs to bring it back to XP Pro, but I've been too lazy. It works fine on Ubuntu, but I have to enable B43-fwcutter every time I turn on the computer to use the WiFi because of the Broadcom wireless chip. I used the netbook a fair bit for high school, but I don't think it'll suffice for university.
I actually have 3: One HP G62 running W7, and two I don't know an exact model but they're older computers with XP
