Someone got butthurt by a post of mine in /r/programming, so they logged onto a throwaway and tried to diss me like a 12-year old, and said they're a "fellow FP'er".
how much of a fucking coward does someone even have to be to act like that

I wonder how long we've had those cables for PCs, I would like to see AmigaOS to confirm his IBM PC has one. I've certainly never seen a machine without one. (And damn right too, those things never seem to fall out of a PC).

Is a thing like this worth it to stuck behind a stereo receiver in our livingroom?
Heh. Got DMCA'ed on Twitter for linking someone to a sports streaming site.
Wasn't even linking to Cricket (although the site does do cricket).

The tweet was like a month or two old though :v

It's cute but the DAC on it is probably complete trash. Would be happy to be proven wrong but given that price-point and general obvious cheapness of it...
I decided to check out one of the older video editors that I used back in the day

Apparently they have an Android app for video editing.. hmm

How much does it need an internal dac when I plug it into a receiver/amp anyways? Or is it going to ruin the sound quality too much?

It's still gotta render the audio to something the receiver can use in the first place. It's hard to say HOW shit it is but I wouldn't expect that great quality from it.

Yeah, don't expect great audio quality from bluetooth-to-analog-audio adapters.
But they're still handy if you wanna listen to music without any wires and can deal with tapedeck tier audio quality.
I use my phone as an airplay receiver sometimes, works pretty great.

This looks great for retrofitting bluetooth into old car stereos, and nothing else. I'm 90% sure you'll be disappointed if you hook it up to a good livingroom audio system.

when's Video Toaster 2000 coming out for android :v:
My Galaxy Note 3 still hasn't gotten Android 5.0, Kies and the phone itself just tells me that it's already got the latest firmware, what
Anyone got any idea how much the Oneplus 2 will be? Or if the OPO will still be available?
More expensive than the OPO but likely still under cutting most flagships.
Doubt OPO will be available directly from them. I'd pick it up now before it's removed as they already dropped the price and seem to be trying to dump units.

hackintosh is not fun to work with when trying to dual boot with windows. even though I set my partition map to GUID, I can't install Windows because it tells me that the partition scheme is MBR
i feel like i ran in to that error when i was trying to install windows on a real mac

I've had similar issues on my macbook when trying to install Windows, OS X really doesn't want to work with anything but itself

Oh good, I'm not the only one. I wonder if it was a Facepunch update or a Swiftkey update that's causing it to be totally unusable on the reply boxes.
Oj that swiftkey bug. Opening another chat launched a new instance or something and then it was okay.

Install windows first. At least that's what I did, now getting into OS X is as simple as selecting it at boot-up.
considering installing vista on a small partition to fuck with

does it matter which utility I use to partition the disk? can I create a partition for OS X in Windows or should I do it using Apple's disk utility?
Oh, if you're talking about installing both OSes on one drive I don't know :v:

Oh, seems I'm not the only one either. Usually my problem is solved when I reload the page I want to type a reply on, and then it does work.

Yeah I don't know why that's happening but if you click on the Go Advanced button, the problem goes away.

The kettle we had many many many years ago (when I first heard the term) had a lead like the one I posted.

Of course I could just be talking out of my arse. It was something like 15 years ago.
