Tbh, setting up a hackintosh is more trouble than it's worth. Best thing to do is hunt down a dead mac and fix it up.
No guarantee that updates won't completely mess it up, incompatibilities, etc...

It's not a problem if you can spin it into a challenging learning experience.
It's not a problem if you can spin it into a challenging learning experience.
A challenge, yeah why not. But i wouldn't use it as a daily driver imo.
SwiftKey seems fine here, where did you all install it from
Speaking of Apple, someone threw a Mac Mini2,1 (mid-2007) after me today. Not sure what to do with it, though. The wifi doesn't work, and the built-in sound often doesn't work either.

Did you catch it? Did it bounce off you? Are you okay?

mac parts are pretty easy to hunt down, if you could replace it you could mount/hide/just put it close to a TV and use it as an HTPC
otherwise, add a big HDD and plug in some externals, use it as a linux distro slave/home server

Does this only happen in Chrome because I've never had this happen at all

Oh my, I think I just found my new case.
that's actually pretty sick
perfect to build a home server in
Lian Li also sell a full height version of it with optional rackmount brackets for the front.
Lian-Li knows what tickles my fancy.
They are also one of the few companies to get anodized black brushed aluminum right.
IgsItannoying when it does, seems that quoting causes it 's
i still can't reproduce this

That looks more like a classy Hi-Fi unit than a PC case, love every bit of it. Probably wouldn't be able to get a GPU or two Hard drives in there though.
everyone check Firefox please and see if it persists
because I'm not affected
Pretty much all of their products fit my tastes perfectly.
Squared off & clean with no bullshit.
IMO they have a few that ain't blatant gimmicks that I visually find to be "ehh".
But they have the best track record regarding how a case should look like, yes even over Apple.
that pc-z70 looks pretty sexy.
also far too expensive :X

Low-profile expansion bays and a 5.25" slot make this a no go for me.
You absolutely could, I'm already running a low-profile GPU in my current HTPC case, and I've got two 500Gb SSD's inside one 3.5" bay.
Low profile GPU is possible, but my GTX 760 has basically reached legendary status at this point and I'm not going to ditch it just yet because its performance is still absolutely stellar to me.
My case doesn't need wheels. It's put in one place (my desk) and left there.
You edited your post so mine doesn't make sense now...
i bet having a case you can wheel around pays if you work at valve :v:
Its fairly limiting, yeah.
But since I don't game anymore I've got a low-end, low-profile dedicated GPU, a buttload of solid state storage and semi-passive cooling.
Personally I'd ditch the faceplate out of the 5.25" bay and put a hotswap 2.5" HDD bay in there.

Damn shame they are hard to find in silver though.
That is actually pretty clever. I will keep this in mind when it comes to building/buying a NAS. Could probably use something like this:

I have a crap rosewill mATX case. It's surprisingly big, but it's mATX.
Whenever I find me a new job, i'm saving some money and building me a pooter.

Only 1 R9270X since I already have that one, i'll just run them in SLI.
Hmm. I could also shave a couple extra dollars off, since I have the hyper 212 and that ram already.
I stayed amd cpu since I really like amd for some reason, but won't I also run into compatability issues? When I went from the garbage a4-4000 to my a10-5800k, it worked seamlessly. Wouldn't driver issues and shit arise since all my stuff is amd?
Looks like North America is getting dangerously close to running out of IPv4 addresses and yet still my router is waiting for a block of IPv6 addresses to come through the door. Get your shit together already ISPs and governments because the way its going it isn't going to be pretty transitioning over.
Is it just me or does DNS resolution take a silly amount of time if I leave IPv6 support enabled.
ISP's are dum-dums when it comes to IPv6.
They're waiting for IPv4 to crash and burn before they finally get motivated for proper IPv6 rollout and optimization.
Fuck localisation, I've been at this all day now :(

That's a weird looking laser printer, where does the paper fit???
on that topic: why do so many low-end laser printers have a bay for paper that exceeds the size of the machine when using pretty much anything but landscape A5 paper
